Some time later, I once more ended up resting my head on his chest. We stayed like that for a while, and as I closed my eyes, I dozed off. When I opened my eyes again, it was morning, and Tristan was still lying by my side.

"Good morning," he greeted me softly. "How are you feeling?"

"I'm fine," I replied, sitting up in bed. Tristan moved closer to me.

He looked around, his brows furrowing. "I don't understand…"

"What?" I asked, puzzled.

"I don't see Kieran or even Hayley," he said. "Where are they?"

At his words, I fell silent, and painful memories from years ago flooded back. Still, I didn't want to worry because Tristan was back, and with him, I believed we'd be able to find them. We would see again and Tristan will start his plans on claiming back the throne.

"I haven't seen them since they left Vlékrur four years ago," I said.
