Hall of Silence: Walkers, and Absolute Chaos

Isla, having been abducted and released of her bindings, sat on a makeshift chair of still arms. After regaining her senses, she quickly jumped up and stomped her booted foot on the still floor. Since she and her fellow Agents were exempted from work until November was found, they wore casual clothes but still kept their respective weapons with them.

The purple hair here, wore black leggings, a light purple gown extending further down her knees, a slightly transparent lilac scarf over her head and black fitted boots as the combat boots are always a part of their dressing.

"I should hurry. Novem might need help, and Miss Grace might actually get lost without anyone to stay with her," she muttered as she moved around the unmoving hands, glancing around. There was no entrance, and the enclosed space was extremely dark. If not for her heightened sense of sight thanks to her royal blood, she would have been just as blind as November in such a place.

Isla felt along the supposed walls, but everywhere was completely sealed. She attempted to climb them, but didn't get far before her hands met the still, ceiling-like barrier made of hard, shadowy hands. She dropped down and continued searching along other parts of the ceiling, hoping to find even the smallest opening.

Isla didn't know for how long she spent in that enclosed space, but a tiny room with poor lighting and made of shady materials was enough to drive anyone mad. Hacking away at the walls wasn't getting her anywhere so she slumped down on the floor.

"Ugh" the girl groaned. "It's not attacking me so I should be glad at least," she said, looking down.

Isla scoffed, throwing that relief in the trash.

She stands up and picks up her sword, "Let's try this again" she sucks in a deep breath.

In her estimate, nearly six hours had passed since she'd been alone in the small space. But the situation shouldn't have kept her trapped for so long. Isla snapped, and frustration took hold of her. The enraged girl angrily punched the interior, creating a hole that led to another opening.

She was stunned, but it felt normal to her. The purple hair took the side of the rift and widened it, taking it across the room until it reached the other side of the rift.

"Open" Isla said, and the next second, the remaining parts of the walls made of hands disappeared and she was falling into a free space with extremely low gravity. "For real?" She mumbled in surprise. Keeping her body straight and upright, she remained falling.

"Rotate" she commanded but nothing happened

"What did I expect?" she laughed

Then the scenery around her started to rotate violently.

***

November, who was casually choke holding an odd monstrous warrior, quickly snapped its neck.

The others were running helter skelter, screaming at the top of their lungs.

"Go to your rooms!" Novem ordered

The monsters were chasing everyone in the corridor.

"Fourth master, they- they keep following me inside!!" Morim shouted,

He was currently half inside his room, but two of the creatures were dragging to open his door.

"Tsk" Novem clicked his tongue, lounging straight for the two creatures. Slammed his booted foot on the first one and rotating to keep his balance. The monster crashed into the other door of a woman who was frantically trying to enter.

"Kyaaaa!!" She screamed

"All of you, to my room! Now!" He shouted

One by one they evaded whatever was chasing after them and bolted into November's room, whose room number they all had memorized.

Naturally, the creatures came after them. November took Morim by the wrist and hurriedly shoved him to his room with a few others frantically running inside while he stood guard in front of it.

One! Two! Three, four, five, six!

Novem broke their arms or legs so they have limited mobility or prevent them from latching or grabbing on to the people as they run. 'Thankfully' he huffed, 'These monsters don't have the armor of the one I nearly encountered outside my door.' He's got God to thank for that one.

"Don't" Novem said to the royal leaving her room, "If you're already in your rooms don't come out" he announced

"It's alright, I can fight," said the female royal from the Azraq family as she exited her room.

"I appreciate, but royal lives are first priority" Novem insisted

"Are you worried I'm not strong?" She asked, walking boldly and ignoring the surrounding monsters, "Or are you worried about what HQ will do to you if a Royal dies in your presence?"

November watched her with scrutinizing eyes,

"Haha" she laughed, "I guess emperors aren't all that after all. No way you won't be scared of the supreme emperor" she laughed some more, "But" she glanced at the immobile monsters on the floor. "You're really strong fourth emperor"

"Of what use will be a weak emperor" Novem stated with a sigh, "I'm not even at all strong" he brings out a small handkerchief from his inner pockets and sneezes, 'Something smells bad.' "I suggest you enter your room ma'am"

"I'll put in a good word for you in HQ" she waved, "Thanks for the care but I'm stronger than you think-"

Another wave of distortion hit the instance and everything started to rotate causing everyone to lose their footing. November lost his footing but immediately grabbed on to the handle of his door. He looked up to find the blue haired royal nearly fall but regains her balance.

"I still don't think it's such a good idea to be in the middle of the corridor, it's dangerous" he said to her

"It's alright, I'm strong. I've been training for as long as I can remember" she said, squeezing her fists. "I know you're an emperor and all, but-"

Crack-

It was only last minute when Novem took notice of something fast, zooming in on the woman and cracking her neck backwards,

Separating her brain stem from her spinal cord.

It wasn't that much of a monster, it was a seven foot tall skinny human with extremely long nails, and it carried with it a brown sack.

November watched the human of a creature twist the woman's head off and stuff it into a bag. Cackling,

It dropped her body and turned its head to face Novem.

Novem widened his feet and squeezed his palms into a fist. Nah, he pulled out two sanitized scalpels from his inner pockets and unsheathes them.

"You know, you shouldn't keep your nails too long" he said solemnly, "It can harbour all sorts of diseases and bacteria."

The thing turned its body and was now standing right in front of November.

It raised its arm and Novem launched at it.

***

"Stop!" Isla said, getting dizzy from the rotation.

The instance stopped rotating.

***

Meanwhile November and the strange human were a little confused when the wobbly ground stood firm once again.

After a while, they each took stances and attempted to fight again.

***

Isla held her mouth and attempted to grip on to something only for her hand to swing mid-air as there was nothing to hold.

A much bigger rift occured which tore through the whole instance like a large laceration.

"Rotations and vibrations are my weak points for having sensitive hearing. Ugh" she needed to barf.

***

A large rift tore through the corridor where November was in, disintegrating a number of the rooms and stopping at November's, with nearly half of it gone.

The people inside screamed and bolted out.

"Wait, hold up!" He tried to block the door with his body but the sheer amount of people inside were enough to push him aside.

They all ran out and saw the confrontation between November and the strange human.

They turned their heads to their left, but that part of the corridor had no end. It also being the place the strange human came from.

To their right were the monsters from before with broken limbs, while the moving ones were feasting on dead bodies.

In front of them was the strange human who started to smile.

November looked between both parties,

He walks over to the group of people and stood in front of them, blocking them from the walker.

Before he could get there though, the creature, having incredible speed snatched another woman and ran to the side, playing with his prized item before snapping it's neck.

No time to waste though, November immediately whispered to the others, "Stay behind me, we're running to the opposite room"

The opposite part of the corridor wasn't affected by the sudden torn rift so it should be safe unless another rift decides to tear open.

"Go, go" he said lowly, and the group tiptoed towards the other room with November walking beside them.

The walker turned its head towards them and they paused, feeling their hearts thudding in their chests.

"Any weapons on you?" November asks the group,

They all shook their heads.

"Move" November urged them to continue walking. He faced the creatures -

Boom!

The walker already arrived in front of them in the blink of an eye and reached it's long arm towards one of the women.

It got smacked in the face with a kick.

"Disease infested… tsk" Novem clicked his tongue as he jumped down from giving the walker a kick. "I'll need to scrub these boots seriously". He sharpened the scalpels against each other, "And I'll really have to make do with these I guess"

They were now all inside and Novem could fight without problems.

"You know, you got a 'head' start above me in that collection" November laughed, pointing to the sack the walker carried with it.

The walker looked down at its sack and made small creaks as if laughing.

Now, this gave November the creeps. "Is he…. Laughing?" He asked himself, laughing awkwardly.

Creak….

Ayrene who had been in her room this whole time slowly opened her door and peeked outside. "Bro" she whispered, "What is that hideous thing!?" She screamed, and the walker didn't seem to take it well.

"Careful there, he's a head collector and he might come for yours" Novem said as the girl came outside and walk towards him.

"Creepy" Ayrene laughed

"Not scary?"

"Not scary"

The walker dashed forward but Novem intercepted his path to Ayrene.

"Yikes!" She ran behind November

"Go join the others, they're in this room" Novem gestures

"Alright" Ayrene nodded

Now, the walker just wasn't letting that happen.

From the way he attacked, they could tell he was getting desperate.

November frowned, 'His speed is no joke.' Several times those nasty nails nearly touched him. His face scrunched up and he had to pause for a moment, walk over to a corner and barf.

Now the scalpel he was using to fight was starting to look like germs in his eyes. "Horrible" Novem frowned

He threw them away and reached into his inside coat, carrying out a small sanitizer spray bottle.

Sprayed on his palms and rubbed them, spraying the air around him, spraying Ayrene's face, spraying the walker's face also.

"An instance may be an instance but that doesn't mean there can't be germs in it" Novem says, tucking the bottle back into his coat. "My coat is starting to look dirty also, I need to wash it" Novem held his hair, "How many days have passed on the outside? When last did I take a bath? Oh God"

"Bro, chill" Ayrene said

"You can't understand my dilemma"

"You've literally got a creep-man in front of you and you're worrying about germs!?"

"How can I not worry!?"

***

"Maybe it's an instance you can control at will" Isla hummed,

At some point she had landed and was now walking in a corridor covered in spider webs and old antiquities.

She walked over to the wall and put her hand through it, then with force, slanted the hole which then turned into a rift.

Isla brought her palms closer and curved her fingers, then turned her palms down.

"Come down" she said,

Two seconds later, the instance started rumbling, and everything got pushed in and out, the corridors interfering with one another while others just drifted in a gravity low rift.

"Woah, some crazy stuff" Isla was stunned, she was also pushed outside to another rift and once again she found herself in a dark hall.

She turned her head to scan the vicinity and she could see only outlines of things because it was very dark.

With her sharp hearing, she heard something hovering and soon she saw a middle sized cube of light hovering towards her.

***

"Why is everything distorting every now and then" Grace furrowed her brows in annoyance, "It's probably because I forced myself in here, so the instance is trying to adapt to it"

'Wait, maybe I could use my ability to distort this place and perhaps a rift could open on the outside!' She smiled and hurried her steps, "I better find Novem first"

***

After the sudden rift, Novem, Ayrene and the Walker got swallowed into it.

November drifted into another gravity low rift in the instance. And like that he waited until he finally landed.

"Wow, this place is bright" The sudden light made Novem momentarily stunned.

"Is this how a corridor would look if decorated for a celebration." He laughed, "This instance really is weird"

"Hap!" Ayrene landed on her face

"What are you doing" Novem said

"Shut it" The girl said standing up and dusting her clothes.

"Hey, I'm older than you!"

"Like I care!"

The two bickered and after a while they just walked down the corridor.

"So about your Vassal" Ayrene started

"Ugh!" November groaned

"I'm looking for a husband here!" The girl said exasperatedly, "Everybody knows me for my personality so any marriage in my kingdom will literally be forced!!"

"So you do know your personality is an issue"

"I want to know about Felix"

"No, how many times will I tell you-"

"And I told you back I need a man who doesn't pay attention to me! Someone who also likes to pay attention to other women even though we're married!" She gushed

November: You're not normal, you know that.

"I think it's me being unique" she answered

"I could talk with Sebastian" Novem proposed

"What kind of guy is he?"

"Uhh…. Devoted"

"Not interested"

"What about Nathan? He may be aggressive but I bet your crazy can calm him down"

"Is he the type to get another wife?" Ayrene asked

"I don't think so-?"

"Not interested then"

Novem thought, 'I would have proposed Mathias but he's not too different from Felix, and lastly I ship Reo with Kelvin so that's a no. I can't drag Ethan into a mad girl's problem too.'

"That's all then"

"I want to meet with Felix! I'm sure he'll understand." She did her puppy eyes

Trying something cute with the way their eyes were was dangerous to look at.

It clearly wasn't working and Novem's eyes were dead.

"Alright, you know I'll have to get a permit from the second emperor to come to the second empire and we're not on good terms"

"I'll talk to my dad about it!" She said with sparkling eyes.

"Sure"

"Yay!!" Ayrene laughed, "So big bro, what kind of girls do you like?"

"I would rather not talk about such topic with a child"

"I'm not a child!"

"Right, a minor"

"Pshh, just answer me". She suddenly realized, "Or do you like someone?"

Novem felt really uncomfortable, but he felt the girl will keep on probing him if he didn't answer, so he did, "Yes"

"Woah! Is it your Vassal? A commoner?"

'I guess people don't take it well when an Emperor falls for an Agent'

"She's an Agent" Novem answered

Ayrene went silent. "Why would you do that?" She asked

"Doesn't concern you, and if perhaps a king should find out, it might cause a problem"

"Yeah, falling for an agent. Doesn't matter though". She shrugs, "Oh, so that's why you totally weren't interested in me!"

"Yeah, that's number one, and number two you're 15"

"16!"

"Of course"

"So what do you like about her?"

"I can answer that in my sleep. Isla is extremely kind and honest. And you're a crazy person through and through"

"Thanks for the compliment!" Ayrene flicks her hair

"As for my type, you're way too sharp for my liking, I like girls stupid and cute" Novem chortled,

"Woah, evil guy" Ayrene slaps his back

"I'm not, we should be looking for how to leave this place"

The ground started to move,

November: It's probably another distortion, I don't think holding on to something will do any good, let's just try to-

Whooze

Everything started to twist and turn, inside out and outside in, pushing all the guests from one place in the instance to another.

"Oh nooo, let's not separate" Novem said mechanically

"You damnnn" Ayrene got sucked inside a rift hole on the ground.

November: Oof, let's meet again. He waved, wondering, "What's causing all this distortion?"

***

Several guests gathered together, murmuring in panic.

"There are many people here" Isla muttered, entering through a locked door like a ghost or rather the door wasn't materialistic enough.

"It's also surprising I can go through things like this." She said in awe, "And all of my wandering hasn't brought me to November or Grace" I'm really starting to get worried.

Isla flopped with her back on the floor, "Walking about is really tiring" she huffs, "This Instance is really different from others I've been to though. It's not giving any instructions to find an exit" I wonder why…

"Hup!" She used a backflip to huff herself up. "Let's find them first"

The purple hair walked down a lonely corridor once again with grave in her heart.

"It's not like they can get missing right?.... Right?" She paused and looked down, swinging her sword playfully.

"It's the fourth royal I'm seeing! Who are you?" An incoming black hair asked.

"Hm?" Isla hummed at the obsidian black haired girl walking towards her. "Woah! You kinda look like Hope, are you from the same kingdom?"

Again with this Hope. Ayrene frowned, "Isn't that obvious?"

"Yeah, I guess" Isla laughed awkwardly, "Are you perhaps an agent? What empire? Hold up, you're really young though"

"Yeah, you can't see? And who is this Hope you all keep speaking of? Novem also mentioned it- or her"

Isla's eyes flew open, "November!? Have you seen him? Where is he?"

"You know Novem-ber? His real name is November? For real?" Ayrene laughed, "Why does he call himself Novem"

"Do you know where Lord Novem is?" Isla asked expectantly,

"We got separated not too long ago. And who are you?" Ayrene asked back

"I am an Agent in Lord Novem's empire." she answered

{Once again, they be acting respectful only when the populace is involved}

"An agent huh-?" Ayrene remembered, 'Is she… .? No, no, no such thing as coincidences' she cackled, "So uhh, what's your name. Is it Isla or something?"

"Yes! How did you know" The ignorant girl grinned.

"Whaaaat!?" Ayrene nearly stuttered, taking a closer look at the purple hair. 'She's really tall and extremely pretty, it's no wonder big bro… honest and nice huh'

"More importantly we need to find Lord Novem, and my fellow agent, so could we please work together!?" Isla pleaded

"No," Ayrene rejected

"No? But don't you know Lord Novem too? I think it would be better if we search for him together"

"Agent Isla" The obsidian hair started, "How would you know if a guy likes you?"

"Meee!?" Isla covered her face shyly

Ayrene: 'What's wrong with her'

"I mean, if they do they would have to tell me" the purple hair answered

"That's all? No extra behavior when they see you or anything?" Ayrene asked again

"No? How would I know if they don't tell me" Isla laughed

Ayrene: 'She really is dumb'. Do you know that Novem likes you?

Isla's confused mind went on a complete full stop, then did a complete round about before finally concluding on another full stop.

"Ahhh…..haha I wish! I mean Novem likes everyone, and If he does like me he would tell me right?" She laughed if off, half hope, half fear in her heart.

Ayrene: 'She's totally stupid, especially since Novem doesn't seem to conceal his emotions well. "You're right!" Ayrene laughs, "He actually doesn't like you"

"Oh" Isla stared at her boots, "I understand at least. But how would you know that?"

"Because he just professed his love for me" Ayrene smirked,

"Ah" Isla sighed, "It's another competitor" she cocks her head to the side

"You're a child, are you the one that likes him instead?"

Ayrene: 'She's not so dumb huh.'

"If you don't get in the way of my chances with November" Isla raises her her sword, "I'll not get in the way of yours"

She walks the other way, "If you'll excuse me"

The two brush shoulders,

"You're not going to tell me to leave him alone?" Ayrene asked,

"I believe whoever needs a chance should have that chance. It's all November's choice in the end" Isla said leaving, "Oh, I'm not angry at you, going to look for Novem now will you come with?"

"Yeah" Ayrene answered, "You're like a dependable big sis! I was just joking earlier though, but I still don't think Novem likes you" she said running after her,

"Oh yeah? Let me hear it from him then" Isla answered without looking back,

"So do you know about Felix? The vassal" the obsidian hair asked,

"Felix? Yeah. He's really talkative and friendly."

"He's friendly!" Ayrene laughed like she was high, "Tell me about him!"

"Why do you want to know about him?"

"I'm hoping to marry him!"

"Ohh. He doesn't seem like the devoted type but-"

"That's all I need to know" Ayrene cried non existent tears,
