The room fell silent, Brooke's hand slowly slid off Thane's wrist, she tucked it neatly between her legs and let out a quiet huff.
"I just need some time to process this." She looked him head to toe, "All of this."
"I understand." He said politely, "However Brooke, I want you to know that I never once intended to fool you in any way."
"I just-" her words were cut short by Thane's phone ringing.
"Your phone." She grunted, Thane hissed as he took out the phone to turn it off. But Brooke insisted, "I'm not going anywhere, we have all night to talk this through."
He shrugged his shoulders then went off to a corner of the room to scold who it was that called him.
Unfortunately, it was Rosalind, and judging by the loud shouts in the background, something had definitely happened. Before Thane could even get a word in, his mother's voice rang loudly in a panicked cry.
