Chapter 75

Men were annoying.

Men pissed me off.

Men, like Jason and Lucian, were apparently the bane of my existence.

I stood in my living room, arms crossed, glaring at the two uninvited guests lounging in my space. Jason was leaning against the wall like he owned the place, while Lucian inspected the books on my shelf with his usual air of detached curiosity.

"This is my apartment," I snapped, breaking the awkward silence. "Why are you two here?"

Jason shrugged. "I live in this building. Technically, I'm just visiting my neighbor."

Lucian smirked, his eyes glinting with amusement. "Jason followed you, so I decided to follow him."

I rolled my eyes so hard I almost saw my brain. "Brilliant logic. Truly."

Jason crossed his arms, clearly unfazed by my irritation. "Look, we just have some questions about what happened today. The murder and everything."
