Jessica clenched her fists so hard her nails dug into her palms, it was enough to draw blood, her teeyhs clenched, her heels slapping against the floor.

The hallway blurred as she stomped down it, rage boiling under her skin.

That smug smile, the way she sat there unfazed, it made Jessica's blood burn.

"Thinks she's untouchable," she muttered to herself, her heels clicking sharply against the floor. "I'll show her. She would regret it."

Her eyes darted around as she approached Gabriel's office.

Without bothering to knock, she flung the door open and stepped inside. Gabriel looked up from his desk, startled.

"Jessica?" His brows furrowed. "What's wrong?"

The tears were ready before she even spoke, slipping effortlessly into her role. Her voice quivered as she sniffled, wiping at her eyes.

"Gabriel…"

He sighed, leaning back in his chair. "What happened now?"
