"Ethan, how could you?" I whispered, tears streaming down my face. "After all these years…"

Ethan's face didn't show any emotions, he didn't reply he was cold, just the way he had been these past months.

Aurora chimed in with a mocking tone, "You were always the pampered one, Daniella. Now it's time for me to have my share."

The truth hit me harder than any storm outside. My family, my love, everything I held dear, crumbled around me. I felt like ice crystals had stabbed my heart.

"Ethan!" I exclaimed, my voice caught between disbelief and desperation. He collected a file from the desk and handed it to me, the papers crisp and official. He didn't offer a hug, nor did he attempt to convince me that this was all a nightmare.

"You have found out," he said, his tone resigned. "I was going to inform you today, but I might as well tell you now. Let's get divorced, Daniella."
