Chapter 22

"I-I can walk," Ariel said as Aiden came to carry her out of the car.

"Be quiet," Aiden shunned and leaned over to lift her out of the car.

Gregory steadily held the door open for him as walked into the house.

Ariel was quiet, holding her hands above her chest as he carried her up the stairs. She was looking up at Aiden's chiseled jaw; he looked so angry at the moment; he'd been looking that way since the hospital, and she couldn't possibly understand why he was that angry.

She hadn't done anything to him; she made sure to sign the revised contract the moment she left his office earlier that morning.

Ariel thought that he was taking her to her room as they climbed the stairs, but when she saw that he had passed her room, she immediately became alert.

"Um...Mr. Chaz...my room..." She muttered quietly, wincing from the headache.
