Brighter cringe both inwardly and physically. It's being a while since she heard that word 'pawn' being referred to Luella.
'Did he still think this way towards her?' The poor head maid genuinely believed he had seen her better than some pawn, but like a daughter.
Archibald hadn't forgotten, Luella still had a sister who could possibly be an Alchemara. Sure it would be a drawback if Luella died in the training, and he suddenly had to train her sister from the start, but he would still get what he wanted.
