Vida Stronghold, who had taken her eyes off Klaus and Nia, nearly jumped in fright as a voice spoke from behind her.

She could swear it had been less than three seconds since she last looked at Klaus. So how, then, was he standing behind her? The dangerous part was that she hadn't noticed him appear there.
