The Last Paragon in the Apocalypse

"Kathy, can you come closer?" Klaus asked, and Kathy nodded.

She walked closer to where Klaus was and turned to face all the Overlords and Grand Elders.

"She is beautiful, right?" Klaus asked with a smile. His cheeky question was received with smiles that lightened the mood further.

They were all smiling. Klaus wanted to clear the sour mood lingering in the room first before he moved to the next agenda.

Thankfully, it worked, so he asked.

"How many of you know she is not a human but rather a beast?" Klaus's question and the smiles on the faces of all the overlords and Grand Elders were wiped clean.

The sudden mention of a beast among them made everyone become alert. Even Queen Lunara grew tense.

Perhaps now wasn't the best time to talk about beasts around people who had just escaped a moon-infested environment.
