Chapter Eighteen

The next day, Madisyn's sister, Belle, had arranged a new date for her. After Madisyn deliberately refused to see Alex again, calling their last date a disaster, Belle decided to set her up with someone new—a businessman.

'I guess this is more your type,' Belle texted, followed by a photo of a tall, blonde man in a tailored suit.

'He owns a company in the south of the city.'

Madisyn sighed as she stared at the photo. Admittedly, Belle might have been right. Considering her lack of interest in Alex, perhaps she did have a type, and this man—sharp, put together—seemed to fit the bill. Still, she rolled her eyes.

'When will you give up?' Madisyn texted back, though she already knew the answer.

'When you meet someone worth it! You don't have to marry him. Just give him a chance!'
