After their meal, both girls went to sleep while Paul decided to keep watch just in case there was a beast somewhere around or the Dead breeder found them which was unlikely.
Since he had a lot of time on his hands he also cultivated while he could and started by purifying his mana.
As the night went by Paul slowly advanced in levels until he reached level 31 in mana cultivation.
He set this level as his goal since he didn't want to overdo it.
After mana, it was time for Qi but unlike in the past, he had no place here to cultivate in water so he decided to cultivate at the shore.
Rising his cultivation to match his mana took him almost till morning but he managed to do it and was happy about it.
Paul decided that it would be better for them to reach the town as soon as possible so he ditched the idea of preparing breakfast and instead gave each girl a skewer of rabbit meat that he prepared a few days ago.
Thanks to the properties of his storage space the food was still hot and tasted like it was prepared a few minutes ago.
After that, they packed up and moved out.
It turned out that the river had taken them much further than they thought.
After around an hour of walking, they reached the town gate and were being interrogated by a guard who had a problem believing that Maya and Mia were humans.
-Are you sure that they are not goblins?
The guard asked for the third time.
-I'm sure and if you want they can prove it.
Paul said patiently.
The guard was trying to do his duty while at the same time not offending three people who wore clothes worth more than his salary for five years.
After all, it was not a smart thing to piss off some young masters or misses.
-How could they prove that?
The guard asked as he wanted this thing to end already.
-Easily, what color does the goblin blood have?
He asked surprised guard.
-Green.
Everyone knew that much.
-Mia can you prick your finger to show the color of your blood?
Paul asked the girl who took out an arrow from her quiver and used it to do what he asked.
Once the guard saw the red blood he believed that they were humans since the blood does not lie about one's race.
-Thank you for your patience and understanding.
The guard said as he could now attest that he did his duty and let them into the town.
-Also if you are looking for a place to stay then I recommend the Fisherman's Inn.
He added.
-Thank you.
Paul said politely as he saw no reason not to be polite to the man.
Once they entered the town they found the inn that he recommended and it was quite good.
The prices were reasonable and the rooms were clean.
The innkeeper was also very friendly and helped them with some information they needed about the shops they were going to visit.
They learned that the River town was called the River village just two years earlier and they got the status of a town only because they had built the walls around the place.
Also, they had no guilds here and the shops were supplied by the big town further down the river so if they didn't mind some money for the transport then they could catch a ride on the boat in two days.
After hearing that Paul decided to postpone their shopping and wait patiently for the boat to arrive.
In the meantime, he went to the guard's commander and informed him about the Dead breeder as this was something he should rapport so that the town could issue a warning for the people that came here to train or hunt.
-Thank you, young master, this information is very valuable and it might save some lives.
The commander thanked him for his help.
-There is nothing to thank me for as that thing almost killed me and my servants and I would love for someone to take it down.
Paul responded.
-We will issue a request for the mercenary guild and the adventurers guild to send someone to take care of it.
The commander promised.
-Then I won't bother you anymore.
Paul said and left, returning to the Inn.
As far as he could say this place was just an outpost for the cultivators, mercenaries, and adventurers on their way to the wilderness surrounding this place.
But it provided the basic equipment and pills that were needed, what's more, it was equipped with a protection barrier so there was no way for any beast to enter this town unless they were extremely powerful.
They had two days and Paul decided that it would be a good idea to teach the girls Qi cultivation while they were waiting for the boat.
Since the girls still had not mastered reading and writing he used the same method for teaching as when he taught them the mana cultivation.
Soon both girls memorized the technique and started practicing.
Paul on the other hand started reading the scrolls he had found in the spatial devices.
Most of them contained techniques for the sword and the bow, only one contained spells and they were meant for an Ice mage.
Other than that he also did a full checkup on the items he had in his storage and spatial device to make sure that he knew what they needed to buy and what they had for sale once they reached the Calm water town which was way bigger and better supplied than this place.
He was in the middle of this work when Mia and shortly after her Maya came to inform him that they felt the Qi enter their bodies.
This shocked him again as both of them managed to cultivate Qi in just a couple of hours when it took him a few days when he first started.
-Congratulations ladies you have officially become dual cultivators now.
He praised them.
Then he went to the innkeeper and asked for two bath thumbs for the girls.
The water wasn't needed as he could easily fill them up with magic at this point and heat the water as well.
The innkeeper was more than happy to provide the baththubs and even informed Paul that there was a bathing area downstairs if they wanted to use it.
Moreover, they were the only clients that he had right now so no one would disturb them and they could use it as long as they wanted to.
Paul agreed as this was the better idea and he informed the girls about that while the servants prepared their baths.
The bathing area was separated for the men and women so Paul decided to also take a long hot bath.
It was a long time since he could relax in a bathtub and he enjoyed every second of it while girls were cultivating in the next room.
Mia and Maya were done with their cultivation quickly since Paul told them to not go more than five levels in Qi cultivation and if they wanted to then they could raise their mana cultivation but also not more than five levels.
The girls stopped cultivating on level 5 of Qi cultivation and decided to finish for today as they were hungry and a bit tired.
