A week had gone by, and Xia Lu's dozen or so resumes had all sunk without a trace, not a single company had thrown her an olive branch, not even the smallest one. She sent out some more, but it didn't look promising.
"What's with you, coming out to relax and still looking so listless?" Jin Meng, wrapped in a bath towel, sat beside her. They had finally come out for a steam bath to relax on the weekend, but she still had a sullen face.
"What if I keep going like this, with no responses to my resumes and no company wanting me, what am I supposed to do in the future?" Xia Lu showed a sad and frightened look in her eyes. "I've heard that the economy is really bad now, a lot of companies are laying people off, and nobody dares to hire someone who's just been fired like me."
