In her past life as someone well-versed in various fantastical web novels, she did not simply laugh it off or consider it an illusion upon hearing this electronic sound. Instead, she quickly made her way to a nearby observation deck with an open view.

As the knife struck the zombie's neck, the orb of light completely lost its effect. Luckily, the zombie's neck was unexpectedly brittle, or perhaps Mu Ying had used too much force, as she managed to chop off half of it in one swing.
The zombie's head now tilted even more severely, only a small finger-length layer still attached, but the electronic voice that followed informed her the zombie had been eliminated.

A thin leather-bound book appeared in front of her.
