Bad News

At the very edge of Vindra, right next to the seashore, gigantic estates stretched along the coastline. Society's wealthiest lived here, in their palaces.

Each estate functioned as a small town, since all the staff lived there too. They all had their own small houses, and there were even entertainment areas.

Most estates had their own harbors, with at least a dozen ships docked. These places also included large forested areas for hunting, and fields of green grass for recreational horse riding.

The Hicks Estate was significantly larger than any other estate. Within its borders, there were multiple forests, hillsides, ponds and smaller lakes.

A well-maintained road lead to the main palace and its surrounding village. It was late at night when a carriage rumbled along the cobbled stone path.

Inside the carriage, a single man travelled. He just came back from a daylong meeting, but he didn't seem the least bit tired.
