'When it comes to killing Danzo, Sasuke is still the expert.'
Naruto thought about it for a moment, setting aside all the miscellaneous matters for the time being, and decided to attend Choji's wedding first. Stabbing Danzo in the back wasn't something to rush into, and he'd need to find Kiba first.
He rolled out of bed, washed up, and threw on some clothes before heading downstairs. At this point, Naruto felt like he was covered in lice but had grown used to them. His attitude was calm, even nonchalant.
After all, as long as he didn't act recklessly, nothing serious would happen, especially with the situation being distant from him.
He first stopped by Yamanaka Flower Shop but found no one there. So, he changed course and headed toward the Hyuga Clan's compound. Halfway there, he felt something was off, and he stopped in his tracks.
Last time, after he had left early, Ino and Hinata had reconciled and were gradually on good terms again. But Naruto wasn't aware of that and just felt an increasing sense of dread as he walked closer.
In his memory, Ino and Hinata didn't get along well. If he went to the Hyuga Clan's compound and Ino happened to see him there…
Just the thought of it made Naruto shiver.
Sakura or Tayuya are special cases, so even if they know each other's existence, there won't be any problems, but Naruto still doesn't want to get everyone together. He's not that stupid.
However, Ino and Hinata are different. They were both essentially his first loves, and he had been indecisive with both, unable to make a clear choice.
Because of that, the relationship between the two girls had soured. Even though both knew about the other, they deliberately avoided bringing it up when interacting with Naruto, though they occasionally hinted at it.
For example, when Ino got upset, she would say, "Why don't you go find Hinata? She always goes along with whatever you say anyway."
And when Hinata got upset, she'd softly remark, "Do you prefer Ino's personality more? I'm not as outgoing or good at speaking."
In short, it was a mess, and handling it poorly could be very troublesome. Of course, most of the time, Naruto didn't face this issue, after all, he was often away on missions.
They would get mad, but by the time they saw him again, who knew how much time had passed?
Following his instincts, Naruto decided against approaching the Hyuga Clan's compound and turned away. It was better not to take any risks on this kind of thing, and he could just wait at Choji's wedding instead.
Shortly after he left, two girls walked out of the Hyuga Clan's compound.
"Hey, why isn't Neji coming?" Ino asked.
"Neji-niisan seems to be busy with a mission. He's been very occupied lately, and it seems he's about to join the Anbu." Hinata replied, her arm linked with Ino's, carefully choosing her words.
"Anbu? Does the Hyuga Clan also join the Anbu?" Ino was slightly surprised but continued walking, "Isn't that a bit too conspicuous?"
"As soon as they saw that his eyes were completely white, they would know he was from the Hyuga Clan."
"I think there's some special method to hide it, but I'm not entirely sure. It's just what Neji-niisan mentioned." Hinata was a little nervous and didn't know what to say for a moment.
"Um, Ino…"
"Hmm? What's wrong?"
"Do... do you think white eyes are strange?" Hinata asked hesitantly.
"Why would you ask that?" Ino looked at Hinata in doubts. Seeing that she was a little nervous, she reassured her, "It's just a different eye color. Mine are green, you know."
"See?" She said, pointing to her eyes, "They look like glass."
…
"Choji!!" Naruto sneaked up on Choji, who was eating potato chips in his room in a formal suit, "What are you doing? Hogging all the snacks?"
"I'm nervous!" Choji responded, shaking as he stuffed his face faster.
"Nervous or not, at least save me some!" Naruto snatched the chip bag from him and grabbed a handful.
"I need a favor. If you don't help me, I'll take all your snacks every day."
"You..." Choji sighed. Not only did Naruto not comfort him when he was nervous, but he also took the opportunity to threaten him. Still, this was typical behavior between friends.
"So, what is it?"
"It's not a big deal. I just need you to make sure Ino and Hinata are seated separately. Don't let Hinata see me talking to Ino."
Naruto coughed and said, "And when I'm talking to Hinata, make sure Ino isn't around. That's all."
Choji: "…"
"Not to be rude, but Naruto, isn't living like this exhausting?" Choji pouted and said, "Why don't you settle down, like me, and get married soon?"
"Settle down? Stop rambling, or I'll spill the beans about your situation." Naruto threatened, hitting Choji right where it hurt. And Choji's face instantly turned pale.
"Okay, okay, please don't! I'll find someone to handle it." Choji's face scrunched up in distress, but suddenly he seemed to realize something.
"Wait, Naruto, this might not be possible."
"What do you mean?"
"Don't you know? Ino and Hinata seem to have made up. They've been hanging out together all the time lately, so how am I supposed to separate them?" Choji explained, squinting his small eyes.
Dressed in a broad, black formal outfit, Choji looked a bit awkward as he gazed at Naruto with a troubled expression.
"They made up? When did that happen?" Naruto was stunned for a moment.
"Probably when you went out for that mission. I'm not sure how it happened, though." Choji scratched his head and said, "Do you still want them separated?"
"Forget it, forget it." Naruto said, feeling a headache coming on, "Let's just leave it at that for now, just pretend I didn't say anything. Doing anything now would be too obvious."
Choji glanced at him again and couldn't help but offer some advice, "Yeah, now that it's like this, you'll have to choose one eventually. When you get married, I'll definitely..."
"No choosing." Naruto interrupted before he could finish, catching onto Choji's drift, "Stop with that nonsense. If you want to choose, then go ahead and do it yourself."
"Now that things have come to this, what can you possibly do?" Choji muttered.
"Well, don't worry about it." Naruto responded, feeling a bit irritated as he grabbed another handful of chips and walked away.
Choji watched Naruto's retreating figure and scratched his head, 'Naruto was a great guy in most ways, but... well, he didn't seem very committed to one person.'
Now that Ino and Hinata were getting along, things were different.
With the two of them always hanging out together, even if Naruto had the ability to be in two places at once, he wouldn't be able to keep up his act for long. They were spending too much time together, and sooner or later, something would slip.
"Naruto, you should settle down sooner rather than later." Choji muttered under his breath.
