Chapter 507 Uprooting Everything

After leaving the Hokage Tower, he quickly sped off, eventually leaping to the highest point on the Hokage Rock.

He gazed out over the circular shape of Konoha, taking in the intricate and densely packed streets. His breathing gradually steadied, and even though his mind seemed to be wound up with a countdown clock, he still tried his best to stay calm.

It was not an easy task to find two well-trained Shinobi in the vast expanse of Konoha, especially when those two were Danzo's right-hand men, prominent figures within Root.

After regaining his composure, Naruto headed silently toward a certain area. Outside the wall of the Hyuga Clan's compound, he caught sight of Kurama, who was staggering out with a sake bottle in hand.

"You!!!" Kurama was startled, the hair on his back almost bristling. He quickly tried to hide the bottle behind his back, "This... uh... the sake isn't..."

"Forget that for now. I need you to help me find two people." Naruto grabbed him and said, "Help me with this, and I'll return your sake."

The Hyuga Clan's compound, with its lush greenery, white walls, and gray tiles, created a peaceful backdrop.

Kurama glanced at Naruto in disbelief, then hesitantly asked, "Are you serious?"

"Yeah."

White clouds drifted across the sky, and the blue sky stretched endlessly.

Kurama lifted his head, thought for a moment, then grinned slyly, lacking any dignity, "Okay."

Under the same conditions, the Perception Ability of the Biju is stronger than that of the Shinobi. Being a mass of Chakra, when Kurama's perception area is fully released, it is enough to cover the entire Konoha.

Looking at Kurama's obscene smile, Naruto's eyelids twitched and he resisted the urge to punch this dog.

Fortunately, Kurama worked efficiently. After a short while, it precisely pinpointed the locations of Yamanaka Fu and Aburame Torune. They were hiding in the underground of Konoha, a Root's secret hideout.

"You better hurry up. They're moving in two different directions and are about to leave." Kurama helpfully reminded him, "You should use a Shadow Clone… oh, right, you don't use Shadow Clones."

"I don't need Shadow Clones. You go handle one of them." Naruto suddenly said.

Hearing this, Kurama was startled and stared at him in shock, "What do you mean?"

"I mean…" Naruto responded as he unlocked the seal restricting Kurama's power. Even though he was still restricted by the Jashin's Dog, at least his strength was partially released.

"Go stop Aburame Torune. His insects won't work on you."

Naruto then disappeared in a flash, heading toward Yamanaka Fu. He found a hidden entrance at the village's outskirts, quickly drew his blade, and sliced it open without hesitation, diving into the passageway.

The dark tunnel, where even the faintest light couldn't reach, led deep into Root's underground base.

There was no time to waste. And Naruto knew he didn't need evidence, just a semblance of justice.

Traitors, then execution. The dead couldn't speak, and with the fall of Root, Danzo would never be able to recover. There was no more time to overthink things, he had to kill Yamanaka Fu as soon as possible.

The cold wind whistled past his ears as Naruto closed his eyes and began releasing Chakra into his surroundings to sense the layout of the area.

This method was too crude and certainly couldn't be compared to the reconnaissance team, but the effect was almost the same, it just consumed more Chakra.

He didn't need complete accuracy, just enough to get a general sense of the situation.

After advancing some distance, Naruto suddenly felt a sharp darkness overwhelm him. His soul felt as though it had been struck by something, but there was no pain.

A scream of pain suddenly came from afar, snapping Naruto back to awareness. He realized he had been attacked by Yamanaka Fu. However... 'Engaging in a battle of souls with me is just asking for trouble.'

Naruto used the Flying Thunder God Technique, and Yamanaka Fu barely had time to react before being sent flying. At that moment, the dim, grayish light became crystal clear.

The glint of Naruto's blade reflected a blurry face. Yamanaka Fu staggered backward, narrowly avoiding the fatal strike. The sound of the blade cutting through the wind sent chills down his spine.

'Flying Thunder God? Yondaime's signature move?'

Yamanaka Fu's mind raced in confusion, his Chakra surging as he instinctively began forming hand seals. Wind Release Ninjutsu took shape quickly, and several sharp blades of wind shot from his mouth.

The entire underground cave collapsed with a loud crash. In that instant, Yamanaka Fu, relying on his experience, pushed off the ground. His joints creaked as his body shot forward at high speed.

As the ceiling of the cave continued to cave in, rubble fell.

In that split second, Naruto had already discerned Yamanaka Fu's typical opening moves. Kyubi's Chakra covered his whole body, and Naruto abandoned all Ninjutsu, and like a bullet, he shot towards Yamanaka Fu directly.

His strategy was simple: engage a Ninjutsu User in close combat. He gave up on forming hand seals and called forth the Kyubi's Chakra, relying solely on the physical strength granted by the Kyubi's Chakra to engage in close combat with Yamanaka Fu.

Under the amplification of the Biju Chakra Cloak, Naruto shattered Yamanaka Fu's ribs. He snapped Yamanaka Fu's arm as if it were child's play, then mounted him, pinning him to the ground.

In that moment, Naruto drew the Kusanagi Sword from his seal space and held it high in the dark cave. As large stones fell, a single ray of sunlight pierced through from above.

The darkness enveloping the two was torn apart. Yamanaka Fu coughed up blood and struggled to open his eyes. What he saw upon opening them was an extremely sharp blade bathed in light, which then mercilessly pierced into his chest.

His pupils contracted as the reflected sunlight from the blade pierced his vision. Shock and reluctance slowly faded from his eyes, and his life ebbed away in that instant.

With his heart bleeding out, Yamanaka Fu had no chance to recover.

The Kyubi's Chakra on Naruto's body was also rapidly dissipating. He pulled the Kusanagi Sword from Yamanaka Fu's body and casually wiped the blood off on the corpse.

Without much hesitation, he swiftly left the scene.

The battle between Shinobi starts in an instant and ends in mere moments. Aside from the rumble of the cave collapsing, all traces of the fight were buried underground.

Above ground, Konoha remained peaceful, with lush greenery surrounding the village. Children were running along Konoha's streets, with innocent and foolish smiles on their faces.

Naruto glanced down at the bloodstain on his clothes but paid no mind to it. He quickly headed in the direction where he estimated Aburame Torune to be.

After waiting six or seven years, the opportunity had finally come. Naruto felt no emotional turmoil and didn't care which clans Yamanaka Fu or Aburame Torune belonged to. He is just eliminating the people from the Root.

The consequences were for Tsunade to deal with. Naruto was just a blade, tasked with vengeance and completing his mission. Nothing more.

Repeating the same process, Aburame Torune proved to be more troublesome than Yamanaka Fu. Fortunately, Kurama, being a Chakra entity, was able to completely suppress him.

After quickly dispatching Aburame Torune, Naruto once again left the scene. These two hours had been the most tense and busiest of his life, leaving him no time to rest.

Root was being quietly cleansed.

The Root, which is hidden in the dark, were being uprooted at an unimaginable speed. While Danzo was gathering the higher-ups, most of Root had already been destroyed.

With both of his right-hand men removed, Danzo immediately lost control of the situation. By the time all the higher-ups gathered in the conference room, Root has already become a thing of the past.

Yugao resumed her position and waited on standby.

In the shadows beneath the Hokage Tower, Naruto and Yugao, both covered in blood, exchanged a glance, neither showing any expression. In silent understanding, they both looked up toward the top of the Hokage Tower, where the sunlight was blinding.

The influential figures looming over them didn't seem so cold and distant anymore. Naruto felt a weight lifted from his heart as he silently wondered if he should go take a bath first.

"Don't even think about it. Stay here. We might need to attend a meeting with the higher-ups." Yugao guessed what he was thinking and spoke up.

"Um, how did you know I was thinking that?"

"Because I want to take a bath too. Can't you see I'm covered in blood as well?" Yugao shot him a glare, then relaxed as she touched the short sword on her back.

"That money from last time…" Naruto suddenly asked.

"I'll give it to you in a few days." Yugao replied, then added after a moment, "I've been busy lately. Are you short on cash now?"

"Yeah."

"Then I'll do it as soon as possible." She said.

Leaves swirled as they were carried into the sky, and Konoha basked in the peaceful sunlight.
