All extinct

The brutal war raged on. The pursuit of heat was the very essence of these creatures' existence. For the sake of heat, they were willing to sacrifice their lives without hesitation.

Thus, Xiao Yu's flamethrower tactics did little to intimidate them; instead, it only drew them in even more.

Another mountain of insect corpses began to rise, inch by inch, centimeter by centimeter, until it reached over a meter and a half in height.

Xiao Yu was forced to pull back the robotic defensive line once again.

Four days had passed, and there was only one day left before the missile strike.

Due to the small size of Titan, and the thousand-kilometer distance between the main base and Base No. 3, the latter was already below the horizon from the main base's perspective, necessitating the use of intercontinental missile technology to launch this hydrogen bomb.

At Base No. 2, within the nuclear fusion lab, hundreds of robots were tirelessly working. Components were being manufactured one by one and immediately transported to the vast factory, where they were assembled onto a colossal cylindrical object.

The Fengshen-1 helicopter made constant trips between the main base and Base No. 2, delivering parts that Base No. 2 couldn't produce for missile assembly.

The insect swarm was now just five meters from Base No. 3.

Xiao Yu's robotic losses had reached over fifty, severely weakening the frontline firepower. Gritting his teeth, Xiao Yu diverted robots from around the factory perimeter to reinforce the front.

"The hydrogen bomb will be ready to launch soon; no matter what, we must hold on!" Xiao Yu silently vowed.

At Base No. 2, the intercontinental missile was finally assembled. Standing five meters tall with a diameter of about one and a half meters, it had enough thrust to exit the atmosphere, travel through space, and then re-enter the atmosphere, homing in on Lake No. 2.

Several robots were conducting final checks, while Xiao Yu meticulously analyzed the data from thousands of sensors on the missile.

"Pressure chamber normal, combustion chamber normal, navigation system normal, separator normal..." After completing the analysis, Xiao Yu issued the final command.

"Ten seconds to launch, begin countdown!"

A faint white mist began to emanate from the missile's tail; Xiao Yu knew this was due to the engine preheating, warming the surrounding air.

"Ten... nine... eight... two... one... ignition!"

Immediately, pale yellow flames erupted from the missile's tail. Initially weak, within five seconds they grew stronger, and the massive thrust began to slowly lift the rocket.

When building the missile, Xiao Yu did not add boosters or use multistage rocket technology like on Earth, relying solely on a single-stage rocket. Titan's weaker gravity made this sufficient.

The rocket ascended slowly, but its speed quickly increased, disappearing from Base No. 2's sensors after thirty seconds. Xiao Yu then focused on receiving satellite signals.

Twelve satellites orbiting in space took over from Fengshen-1 to guide the intercontinental missile.

After reaching an altitude of several kilometers, the missile adjusted its trajectory, aligning with Titan's rotation.

Missiles and rockets are not launched straight up but along the rotational direction of the celestial body in a diagonal path to save a significant amount of fuel.

The missile's speed rapidly increased to 2.2 kilometers per second, and after fifty seconds, it exited Titan's atmosphere.

At an altitude of 113 kilometers above Titan, it had left the atmosphere. From this vantage point, Titan appeared as a massive sphere rotating slowly in space, with the magnificent Saturn and its stunning rings in the background.

Were it not for the necessity of saving Base No. 3, Xiao Yu would have been reluctant to disturb such a breathtaking scene. The intercontinental missile, the most powerful weapon developed by humanity to date, was now in play.

"Initiate separation." Xiao Yu issued a new command through the War God No. 3 satellite, closest to the missile.

Suddenly, a burst of fire erupted two meters from the missile's nose, followed by a large cloud of smoke. The missile body immediately split into two parts: one continued to accelerate into space, while the lower half, losing thrust, began to fall back towards Titan.

The lower section, having not reached Titan's escape velocity, would not enter orbit but instead fall back and disintegrate during atmospheric re-entry.

After accelerating for five more seconds, the warhead began to glide through space, relying entirely on inertia. Xiao Yu, remotely controlling the War God series satellites, closely monitored the warhead.

The warhead was shaped like a cone, designed to maximize precision and speed upon atmospheric re-entry for maximum destructive effect.

Small holes at the base of the cone began emitting faint blue flames, fleeting but precise. Xiao Yu was using these miniature engines to make fine adjustments to the warhead's trajectory.

Gradually, the rocket warhead positioned itself, base upwards, nose pointing towards Titan.

The inertial flight lasted a total of three minutes, bringing the warhead to its designated location.

Xiao Yu issued the command.

"Initiate re-entry procedure!"

This command was transmitted to the warhead's control system via satellite. Immediately, the engines at the cone's base ignited, producing a tremendous counterforce that propelled the warhead into a rapid spin as it began its high-speed descent.

The target: Lake No. 2!

From a vertical height of less than a hundred kilometers above Lake No. 2, it would take just about a minute for the warhead to reach its target, leading to the impending, devastating nuclear strike.

As the warhead rapidly spun, it plunged straight into the atmosphere. The immense friction caused it to glow red, signaling temperatures of at least a thousand degrees Celsius. A long trail of white smoke followed, and the intense shockwave created a deafening screech.

From the ground, it appeared as if a wandering meteor from space was descending.

This meteor would bring destruction to all life in Lake No. 2.

In an Earthly war, an intercontinental missile would release decoys at this stage to avoid interception, but this wasn't necessary on Titan. Xiao Yu didn't believe anyone would intercept his missile here.

The nuclear warhead closed in on its target at a terrifying speed.

"Fifty kilometers... twenty kilometers... one kilometer... five hundred meters... two hundred meters... detonate!"

Xiao Yu issued the detonation command.

Instantly, an unimaginable series of atomic reactions began within the warhead.

First, the atomic bomb detonated. The high-temperature, high-pressure environment caused by the ** explosion triggered the atomic bomb.

Countless neutrons were released, bombarding the uranium atoms within the atomic bomb. The uranium atoms began to fission, releasing new neutrons that bombarded more uranium atoms, unleashing an enormous amount of energy.

The ** triggered the atomic bomb, and the atomic bomb ignited the hydrogen bomb!

The energy from the atomic bomb heated the fusion material at the warhead's core to millions of degrees Celsius. In this extreme environment, deuterium and tritium fused into helium, converting a significant portion of their mass into energy according to E=MC^2, releasing an unfathomable amount of power.

At an altitude of ten meters above Lake No. 2, the hydrogen bomb detonated.

From above the lake, one could witness an unimaginable sight.

A meteor fell from the sky! Trailing a long tail and dazzling brilliance, it was extraordinarily conspicuous in Titan's dim atmosphere. It plummeted straight towards Lake No. 2 and exploded just before impact.

An overwhelming surge of light and heat erupted, and a colossal mushroom cloud rose into the sky. The immense heat, reaching billions of degrees, instantly vaporized the lake's liquid methane, unleashing endless white mist, flashes, heat, and radiation.

The lake surface was whipped into towering waves, which were evaporated before they could even fall back. The extreme temperature and pressure differential created a massive windstorm, far more powerful than the fiercest hurricane, sweeping the surrounding area with immense thermal energy.

At Base No. 3, the robots stared blankly into the distance, witnessing the majestic power that once belonged only to the heavens and earth.

This single hydrogen bomb raised the air temperature within a forty-kilometer radius by at least twenty degrees.

For a brief time, the temperature here reached minus one hundred forty degrees Celsius.

Minus one hundred forty degrees Celsius is an intolerable temperature for humans, but for these black insects, it meant their internal liquid methane would boil, their bodies would burst from the pressure, and they would meet their demise.

The destruction was total, leaving no survivors.

The endless sea of insects that had covered the distance from Lake No. 2 to Base No. 3 perished in an instant.

The enormous Lake No. 2 was entirely evaporated by the high-yield hydrogen bomb, leaving an empty crater. Every black insect within it was undoubtedly obliterated.

One hydrogen bomb eradicated all the black insects.
