CAUGHT REDHANDED

The car door thudded as soon as Ishtar jumped out. Her mouth was twitching as she began to cry.

Her driver, watching her bust in tears through the side mirrior, this made him anxious and confounded.

"This is serious trouble," he sighed.

He took his hand off the stirring, opened the car door and jumped out, off the comfortable Escalade driver's seat.

At this particular juncture, as a man, he had to do something. Besides knowing Ishtar as a honourable good boss of his who gave her a healthy paycheck every week, the situation at hand called him to look at her as a burdened pregnant lady in need of someone to render a shoulder to lean on.

Worried, respectful though, slowly he walked around from infront of the car to meet her on where she was, leaning her back against the car crying.

It was obvious to her that her husband's visit at Nadia Browne's place was nothing else but to swim in her pure waters that morning.

As she shaded tears, flash images began to play within her head, seeing Bob Lee and Nadia Browne shamelessly rubbing bodies, mourning so loudly in the couch, on the bed, down on the floor and in bathroom under rain shower.

It was so heart eating, so hurting.

Her driver, looking at her hurting in tears like this forced him to cross his boundaries from just being an obedient driver who sat on the stirring and wait when to open the car door for his boss to get in and out, and to drive her to wherever she wanted to, to now finding how he could help relieve part of the pain she was experiencing at the moment.

Afriad to touch her, hesitantly on a downcast merciful face, slowly he took a few steps towards her amid sobbing, and carefully put his hand on her back.

"I can feel how you're feeling...," in a small voice the driver said and went on caressing her, offering her a friendly company to at least make part of her pain go away.

Between gasps and wheezes, "tell me it's not true...! Tell me he is not sleeping with her..!" In denial she cried in her driver's chest.

But what could the ordinary young man say when all he paid attention to was to minding his own business.

It was such a nervous situation for both of them especially Ishtar.

Bob Lee, rushing like he was out of time to cross a billion dollar deal, as soon as he parked his two seater red automobile he stepped out in a hurry and ran up the many stairs nonstop, to meet his white moonlight Nadia Browne.

In a short run, suddenly Ishtar composed herself out of her driver's chest. Nervously afraid, curiously jeolousy, with her wet eyes, she embarked on going after her husband.

Having visited the apartment block earlier before, sge needed no guide to show her the door to Nadia Browne's place.

She hurried her way tracing her husband. But along the way, halfway the stairs, due to her condition, she began panting and wheezing on pressure. She was just exhausted, totally exhausted.

"Relax in there little ones," she touched her seven month old bump and talked to the unborn twins, "give me courage _ I can't just give up now."

"Knock knock...!" as Nadia poured herself a glass of red wine to quench her thirst from such a long morning, a loud frantic knock echoed through her bright light apartment, jolting her from deep thoughts.

With her wine glass in hand, "just a second!" She shouted and hurried towards the door.

Without waiting for another barrage of louder knocks, Nadia Browne threw the door wide open. Bob Lee stumbled foward with eyes wild, breathing hard as he pulled her into a tight embrace.

Together, they fell against the wall.

Super excited to see him, Nadia Browne lifted her wine glass upto his mouth and fed him a sip which he swallowed all heartedly, bringing a blush to his cheeks.

"It's dangerous to treat a married man like a bachelor," he aired out, looking vulnerable in her hands.

"Really?" The smoothness in her voice tone when she spoke was so compelling, one of the drugs she used to knock him out of his senses.

In the midst, as the door swang back to shut behind them, suddenly Ishtar appeared and held it right there, before it thudded.

Bob Lee, unaware of Ishtar's eyes and ears in place working angrily at full capacity, "just tell me what you want," he asked Nadia.

As Nadia was preparing for an appropriate request, her eyes suddenly landed on Ishtar at watching them at the door. Due to the fact that Bob Lee was facing Nadia who had her back against the wall and all his attention was on her, he didn't see his wife.

However, neither did Nadia panic nor did she alert him on the arrival of his wife. All she did was to hold him more tightly, "make me your official wifey," and she asked, loud enough for Ishtar to hear, intentionally to hurt her feelings more.

"So be it," without a second thought, Bob Lee granted Nadia's wish amidst holding her tight all drowned in love.

This was a big blow in face to Ishtar. Nothing was as heartbreaking to her as watching her husband in a baby state being controlled by another woman.

Mouth trembling in a struggle to talk, heart racing, wild reddish-brown eyes dripping painful tears nonstop, and the mere fact that she had unwavering love for her husband, her body systems couldn't function anymore.

Ishtar collapsed down in the middle of the entrance while Nadia carelessly watched.

The sudden heavy fall which included Ishtar banging her head on the door, startled Bob Lee off Nadia's warm radiating body. He turned his head immediately to see what the matter was, and on his wife down on the floor his eyes landed.

"W What!?" He blurted in shock stutteringly, "H How did she end up here?!!"

But to Nadia Browne, Ishtar's fainting wasn't a big deal. She just went ahead to sip on her glass of wine, looking at the panicky situation as nothing had really happened.

One call away, the ambulance arrived and Ishtar was rushed to the hospital, direct in the intensive care unit.

In a critical condition, she had to undergo an immediately operation inorder to save the life of the babies.

After some good hours with the doctors in an operation theatre skillfully doing the needful, the door opened. A doctor came out to meet the family members, Bob Lee and his mother who were anxiously waiting in the room next door.

"Unfortunately the second twin baby had not survived," the doctor announced.

To Bob Lee's mother, an aging woman who needed and awaited grand children so bad, the news was so heartbreaking.

"And my daughter in law?" Worriedly she asked.

"She is on life support right now, keep her in prayers," humbly, the doctor said and walked away.

Without thinking about her age, jumped in her son's neck, attacking him with weak smacks.

"See the damages you've caused...! This is all your fault _ warning you and you fail to listen..." His mother was madly hurting.

However, beating such a grown young man was just a wastage of time when she thought twice. She painfully broke down on the floor and cried.

"Why...? such an innocent, kind and bright young lady Ishtar is _ heavens please save her life," she yearned down on the floor.
