A JEOLOUSY HUSBAND

In his wide office space, Bob Lee finds a safe corner where he stations to speak privately to the bank manager. As the conversation goes on gently, he keeps casting a furtive glance in the direction where his wife and Marlon are.

Thinking that Bob Lee was fully drowned in a phone conversation, Nadia Browne gestured playfully at Marlon, indirectly instructing him to stop throwing furtive smiles at her.

Bob Lee noticed the chemistry between the two. Suspicious, immediately after hanging the call, he walked back to them, cold within but all a performance, pretending the mood was all sparkle.

Smiling politely, he asked Marlon. "Are you married?"

"Married! _ no, why ask?" The question cought Marlon off guard.

Bob Lee smiled bigger, staring into his glass of brandy with nothing to say.

Stepping closer more, Nadia Browne quirked her eyebrows. It was clear from the frown on her face that the question got her perplexed. On her mind guilt kept knocking, protective of the adultery sin she got involved in with her ex boyfriend Marlon.

"You don't seem open enough," inquisitive looks, just like a snoopy neighborhood, she said to her husband Bob Lee.

"Just curious!" Bob Lee shrugged his shoulders.

Seriously haunted by their unfaithful deed, all four eyes stuck on him, demanding a clear response. Weakened, Bob Lee couldn't resist the urging look on their faces especially that on his beloved wife's.

"Which car do you drive?" He posed another question, afraid of putting on a jeolous show which may be a source of uncertain misery in a moment he needed Marlon and his wife the most.

However, jeolous and insecurity had filled up his heart like a sinking boat filled with water. He couldn't resist the urge to bust it out so he can feel relief.

Marlon's heart was stiff, more so driven by a jeolous feeling too. Nadia Browne was every breath he took. And meeting her husband to render him a helping hand, it all came from a space filled with love for her. And the mere fact that he was conc sure the child in Nadia's womb was his, Marlon was ten toes down for anything she asked of him, obediently.

However, he gestured unwilling to answer to another unbelievable question "which car do you drive", but Nadia Browne gestured to him to put his envious and jeolousy guards down, for it was not really necessary.

As an adult, Bob Lee could read the red flags but because of the unwavering love he had for his wife, and lack of concrete evidence, it gave him some hard time to lay his concerns open on table, to bring her to question.

Marlon, dancing to Nadia's finger clicks, he chilled to open up to Bob Lee about the type of car he drives as he asked. But, what he didn't know, the question about the car was a disguise. Bob Lee's intentions were totally different and so, as Marlon sighed, trying to open his mouth to give him a reply, Bob Lee started to narrate.

"Speed was my addiction, that's why I drive a speed car," he said. "Everytime I raced both down the streets and on the highway, I could scream _ yelling "hoo hooo", like I was on another planet living a different life. I never cared loosing control, crushing into anything because I knew that I had all the money in the world and could afford to buy another car and pay off all the extra damages in place."

On a deep breathe he sighed, adding, "one thing that stopped me from racing recklessly was," he turned a weak eye at Nadia Browne, "watching you; my beautiful angel laying on a sick bed, breathing through an oxygen supply on a life support machine the night we were both involved in a car accident. You couldn't even hear my voice calling out your name for days!"

On bloodspot eyes, an indifferently wide grin from ear to ear, Bob Lee closed the gap in-between.

"I love you so much," passionately speaking, "it is you who mean the world to me. And with you, I can risk my entire world... That's why I married you to be my better half," in Marlon's presence, Bob Lee expressed a strong desire for his wife, an act that renewed Marlon's pain.

Leaning in, Bob Lee directed his lips to meet hers in a deep affectionate kiss which ended in a long lasting hug, where he held her so tightly for a minute.

Marlon's jaw nearly hit the floor. He couldn't believe this was happening in his presence. He whipped sweat off his forehead and faced away. Annoyed, gesturing confusion, Marlon blow a simple cough to interfere with the flow of their hug.

Scrunching her face, "oh," Nadia Browne said casually, getting out of her Bob Lee's chest, "I think we forgot about business."

Bob Lee raised his eyeblows and sighed, "um sorry."

Very happy, he ranches into a long rant. He talked about how he was ready to buy and sell with the biggest names in black market deals, make billions like the big names in the game and be the top youngest mogul in the league.

Finally, Marlon calmly stood up from the coach, walked around Bob Lee's desk. All of them were completely silent, waiting for his submission. He turned to Nadia Browne and said, "I think your husband is not ready."

Feeling disappointed, Bob Lee stood up real quick and said, "my bank is willing to give me more than required to be on top of the game. Why are you saying am not ready?" He asked aggressively.

Marlon posed and listened. He then asked, "can you unlive a man?" On a serious note, looking directly into into Bob Lee's eyes.

"I I...", stuttering confoundedly, he lost words and all his confidence was out of the window.

"That's exactly what I meant," calmly, Marlon told him. "This is a tough business that needs ruthlessness, and you can't match the price."

Nadia Browne stood up gently, "but he can hire an assassin just incase, right?" speaking with total confidence.

"Absolutely," Bob Lee panicked to respond. "With my wife by my side, even if it needs me to move ten mountains I will."
