Anna's POV
While Nicholas was in the bathroom, I left the hotel for Lily's place.
I still cannot believe he had spent the night out, but it's all my fault for having such a high expectation.
"Anna!" Lily exclaimed in surprise at my presence at her doorstep.
A frown immediately replaced the expression on her face when she saw the bags in my hand.
She ushered me inside and locked the door immediately.
"What is going on?
Why are you here?
Are you not supposed to be on your honeymoon?" Lily asked without a break.
"I can't go there".
I replied dejectedly.
"Why?" Lily asked, worried.
"Everything was a mistake, Lily. I shouldn't have agreed to that crazy plan.
Nicholas and his family are unimaginable and unbearable".
"What happened? Can you explain to me?" Lily pressed on.
"His mother got mad at me yesterday for changing my wedding dress. The family ran under her authority and last night Nicholas spent the night out probably with another woman", I narrated weakly.
Lily's mouth went agape with shock.
"What have you done to yourself?
I warned you, no money is worth your peace of mind.
Now can you see for yourself how much of a mess this is?". She reprimanded.
"It was not because of the money, Lily", I replied softly.
"Then it was what?"
"I just did it to help him because he wanted to fulfill his grandfather's wish".
"And what have you get from it?
"You don't know that man at all and agreed to marry him on a whim, you should have thought it through.
You shouldn't have agreed to his terms after the one-week deal.
You can file for a divorce anyways, call your lawyer and send the divorce papers to him", Lily concluded.
"I can't file for a divorce, we signed a prenup, remember.
I would have to pay him five hundred million if I filed for divorce within the agreed period." I replied and sighed in frustration.
"I would just have to put up with it.
One year will be over soon".
I said in self pity.
"Oh dear, you really are trapped this time around.
Can I give you a suggestion?" Lily asked.
"Yes, please" I sat up eagerly.
"You can stay here for the period of your honeymoon and return home afterward.
You can move out of his house and go back to living your normal life", Lily said carefully.
"That sounds brilliant, thank you, but do you think he would let me move out?". I asked already in doubt of her plan.
"Of course, he would have no reason to hold you back. You both have nothing together aside from the deal you signed", Lily replied seriously.
I pondered on her words and nodded in agreement.

Nicholas's POV
I started calling her phone when I noticed her clothes and everything she had packed for the honeymoon, no single thing was left behind.
The call rang several times and she did not pick up.
I rushed down to the lobby and asked the hotel staff about her and a few of them admitted to having seen her left with some luggage.
What the hell are you doing Anna?
I sighed in frustration.
I thanked them and began to search for her.
We have a flight to catch in less than one hour, and she has disappeared now.
I went to the nearest hotels and asked after her and none of them had a clue about her.
Two hours later, I gave up. I stopped searching and returned to the hotel where we had spent the night.
I could not stop thinking about where she might have gone to. I knew the way I had yelled at her was bad and I intended to apologize but she had her own plans.
I returned home later in the night. I had stayed at the hotel hoping she would return, but the night came and still she did not return.
"Where on earth is she?" I thought out loud as I parked my car in front of my house.
A week passed after her disappearance and I looked everywhere for her but I still not find her.
I believe she had left because she wanted some time alone and I respect that.
I working on my laptop at home a week after her disappearance when she returned.
I raised his head from what I was doing and I was surprised to see her standing in the middle of the living room.
She ignored me and continued further into the house, I frown in confusion.
I followed her upstairs to her room and watched her in puzzlement.
"Don't you think I deserve some explanation about your disappearance?" I asked crossing my arms in front of me
" I believe I deserve some privacy despite the contract we signed and should not be bothered if I decide to keep my personal life private", she replied, folding her arms.
I narrow my eyes at herm words.
"Going off for a week is crossing the line".
"There is no line to cross if you spend your nights with different women" she returned.
"What?!
I have not spent my night with no woman since I met you. Mind what you say" I warned, her words were starting to piss me off.
"What can you possibly do?
Whereas didn't you spend that night with the lady we met in the hotel lobby?" She fired back.
"How do you know?
Whereas are you jealous?"
"Jealous?!
I must have gone crazy to feel jealous" she fired back and turn her back.
She is indeed jealous, I can not stop the smile that pulled at my lips
Turning her to face me, I bend down slightly to kiss her on the lips.
Her lips are soft and warm.
Her eyes widened in shock before she began to struggle out of my hold.
I deepened the kiss and bite down on her lower lips.
Her cheeks and lips are slightly red when I finally let her go.
Since the first day I set my eyes on her, i have wanted to do this.
"I have no idea what you heard or saw but I was not with anyone" I said persuasively.
Although I'm still yet to figure out how or why I ended up Mia's room I am not going to let her get the wrong idea.
"You are out of your damn mind" she barked at me before fleeing out of room.
