Chapter 108: Gather! O river of light that's guided by the fairies!

The blade's light flashed, but the Ancient Geovishap did not die. As a Geo-elemental creature, it had inherited the Geo element's high defense and immense vitality.

Even though its defense was ineffective against the Kuzu-Ryu-Sen, its body could still withstand a single strike.

Clang—

The Reverse Blade Sword returned to its sheath, and its bonus active skill was triggered. The Kuzu-Ryu-Sen, which had entered cooldown, became usable again.

"Kuzu-Ryu-Sen!"

The Ancient Geovishap's rolling motion came to an abrupt halt, once again bound by that restrictive feeling. After this strike, it completely lost all strength.

Ka-la-la—

The thick rocky armor on its body cracked and fell off, with magma-like blood spilling everywhere. The Ancient Geovishap lay weakly on the molten ground, struggling to breathe and unable to stand.

With a click, the Reverse Blade Sword returned to its sheath once more.

Although the Reverse Blade's non-lethal feature didn't apply to non-human entities like the Ancient Geovishap, Bai Luo decided to test his newly acquired equipment.

[Fairy Glitter (Active)]: One of the strongest magical abilities in a certain world, a legendary over-magic spell. A merciless radiance that denies the survival of enemies, capable of annihilating all foes.

Unique Active – Fairy Glitter: Instantly deals true damage equal to 15% of the enemy's lost health. If the target is killed, the cooldown is reduced by 20 seconds. (Cooldown: 90 seconds)

Gently rolling his arm, faint patterns appeared on his right arm, though they remained obscured by his red robe.

This was not magic native to this world. Ordinarily, Bai Luo wouldn't have been able to wield it, but thanks to his system's modifications, it manifested as an equipable skill within this realm.

Even as equipment, its brilliance couldn't be hidden.

A pale golden light shot skyward, dispelling the dark clouds above Tianqiu Valley entirely.

That beam of light, brighter than a beacon in the night, dominated the heavens, piercing through the clouds with unmatched intensity.

The gathered light formed a halo above the Ancient Geovishap's head. The halo embodied the faith, bonds, and resolve of countless individuals, its immense power rendering the Ancient Geovishap motionless.

"Gather! O river of light that's guided by the fairies!"

"Shine! In order to perish the fangs of evil!"

"Fairy Glitter!"

As Bai Luo lowered his arm, the light... erupted.

It was like the first ray of sunlight illuminating the horizon—intense and pure. The radiant brilliance, though sacred and harmless to Bai Luo, was so overwhelming that even Qiqi, who wasn't afraid of sunlight, couldn't bear to look directly at it.

The light bore no impurities, no extra attributes—it was simply light.

Just light.

The halo consumed the Ancient Geovishap, leaving it without even a chance to wail before it completely disappeared.

Not even a speck of residue remained.

As the light faded, the marks on Bai Luo's arm vanished, entering cooldown mode.

Was Fairy Glitter powerful? Undoubtedly so. Its sheer spectacle outshone any of his current abilities.

Unfortunately... that grandeur came at the cost of damage.

Note its description: Instantly deals true damage equal to 15% of the enemy's lost health, meaning if the target hadn't taken any prior damage, this move would do little more than blind the enemy.

Essentially, it was a glorified flashbang.

But against a weakened foe... it transformed into a divine executioner's blade.

Little Qiqi clambered down, her herb basket strapped to her back. Squatting beside the remains of the Ancient Geovishap, she poked through the ash with a branch, seemingly searching for something.

Unfortunately, she miscalculated.

Fairy Glitter had utterly reduced the Ancient Geovishap to ash, leaving not even a bone behind—worse off than La Signora in the game.

"Luo Bai, medicinal materials, medicinal materials," Qiqi protested softly, tugging at his robe.

Her silent complaint was clear: he was supposed to defeat the creature and collect materials, not obliterate it entirely.

"..."

Bai Luo felt a bit embarrassed. It was his first time using Fairy Glitter, and he hadn't expected its devastation to leave nothing behind.

And speaking of devastation, the light's spectacle just now might have been visible from Liyue Harbor. If so, things could get tricky.

adepti, the Liyue Qixing, and even the Geo Archon might come to investigate. If they cornered him, explaining would be no easy task.

Moreover, a select few he had previously marked were already en route.

"Don't move."

Switching to his Hei form, Bai Luo pulled Qiqi close. Almost immediately after they vanished into the shadows, the Geo Archon landed in the cavern.

Moments later, Mountain Shaper appeared, having been nearby.

"Archon!"

Though he wasn't wearing his divine garb, the Geo Archon's divine aura was unmistakable. The adepti often identified the Archon by this divine energy, as he frequently wandered incognito among humans.

"This was an Ancient Geovishap, correct?"

Crouching to inspect the ash, the Archon frowned slightly.

As a Geo-elemental creature, the Ancient Geovishap shouldn't have been reduced to this state.

But given that light... its current state seemed plausible.

"Yes, it had been dwelling here for some time. The adepti left it be, as it didn't cause harm. After all... it was one of 'his' followers," Mountain Shaper sighed.

The upheaval that Liyue citizens regarded as history was a war these adepti had lived through—a war that never should have begun.

Azhdaha had been sealed, and his followers had retreated underground to await his return. Who would've thought that upon resurfacing, this one would face such devastation?

The Archon's brows furrowed slightly, while Mountain Shaper lamented the Ancient Geovishap's fate, overlooking a critical detail: its emergence might signal his old friend's impending return.

"Moon Carver and Cloud Retainer will arrive shortly. Inform them this matter is resolved and not to interfere. That includes you as well."

Sighing, the Archon spoke firmly.

"Understood... Archon, do you already have a lead?"

"Yes, I have a good idea."

That light was pure, flawless, and unfamiliar—neither threatening nor reminiscent of any known god of light.

Considering Bai Luo's peculiar abilities and distinct blade techniques, Zhongli was almost certain that the owner of that light was Bai Luo.

Who would've thought he had such a trump card hidden?

. . . . .
