"Please don't misunderstand," Eden had not mentioned her identity, her emerald eyes reflecting the distant battle as she spoke softly, "Ahtal only slaughtered the disguises of gods; he never harmed any elf intentionally."
Sure enough, as expected.
The Elf Queen slightly bowed her head. She had long suspected that Ahtal's transformation was too extreme, but as long as she attributed it to the dispute between the gods and the demons, everything could be explained.
From the beginning, there was no true fall of a hero; it was just the gods trying to slander Ahtal.
"How annoying," she whispered her inner thoughts, because the battle between the gods and the demons had dragged them, the weak, into a state of fear.
However, she could only resent it. She was well aware of her powerless situation. For now, the weak could only endure until the demons and gods determined a victor.
Only then could they find peace.
