Li Nanshuang did not understand what Jiang Yi was saying, except for the word "chase"; blushing, she gave the other a glare and turned back to the kitchen, contemplating improving her cooking skills further.
"Qiuye, go outside and keep watch, see if there are any suspicious people following us."
Jiang Yi instructed Qiuye.
The latter nodded and stepped out of the courtyard.
Only Jiang Shouzhong and Jiang Yi were left in the courtyard.
"Do you have something to say to me?"
Jiang Shouzhong, seeing that the other had deliberately sent Qiuye away, curiously asked.
The woman raised a slender leg and kicked the man's leg lightly, asking, "Tell me, where have you been these past few days?"
Jiang Shouzhong chuckled, "Private matters."
"Let me guess."
Jiang Yi crossed her fingers, resting them under her chin as smooth as jade, her face wearing a fox-like crafty smile, "Perhaps, you went to offer prayers at a temple?"
Jiang Shouzhong's heart skipped a beat.
