The Yi-Fen Hall remained just the way it had been when it was first built, and Lu-Wu Village was still that ordinary yet not-so-ordinary little village located in the Lu-Wu countryside at the foot of the Lu-Wu Mountain. But perhaps all stability was only between day and night. Without the Yi-Fen Hall, there would be no Lu-Wu countryside. Or maybe, Lu-Wu Village remained the same, it was just that Yi-Fen Hall wasn't the Yi-Fen Hall it used to be.
When they returned to Yi-Fen Hall, Banban was sitting on the threshold of the hall, hugging her knees and foolishly staring in the direction they had left from.
However, they had come back from another direction. She noticed not too late; just as they had barely set foot in the rear courtyard, she immediately ran over joyfully, her big round eyes shining brightly, obviously having waited anxiously for just an afternoon, enough for her to eagerly look out for their return.
