Passing through the relatively chaotic outskirts of the refugee camp, the convoy of armed pickup trucks stopped in front of a concrete wall.
This was the only group of buildings in the vicinity that were all using floodlights.
To call it a group of buildings was a bit of an overstatement—it was just three or four simple two-to-three-story concrete buildings enclosed by a wall.
The main entrance was a double iron gate, and to the right hung a wooden sign that read "Humanitarian Medical Aid Post," with the letters painted in white.
A Red Cross flag fluttered in the night wind above the gate.
The gate was brightly lit, and a group of people in white coats were waiting there, including men and women of different skin tones and appearances, likely from various countries.
They seemed to have been waiting for quite some time, as a few of the women were rubbing their arms to keep warm.
