Chapter-11: Eating Food Together

Mu Chen entered the room, "What happened?"

"Mu Gege, see Xiao Xiao is sleeping like a baby. How can we wake him up?" Xin Yi questioned looking anxious.

"Eh?" Mu Chen frowned at the silly question. He looked at the sleeping person and was hypnotized by him.

He was stunned, for a second he forgot how to breathe. He stood there silently looking at Xiao Bo.

After a minute, he cleared his throat, "Ahem, wake him up. I think he didn't even eat in the afternoon, right?"

"Yes, he must be hungry. He should eat something," Xin Yi walked to his bed and kneeled in front of him.

He gently stroked Xiao Bo's fringes, "Xiao Xiao..."

"U..mm..." Xiao Bo turned to the other side with a frown on his face.

Wang Mu Chen gulped his saliva hearing the moan.

Shen Yu sat beside him and nudged him lightly.

"Xiao-Er, please get up. You need to eat something or else you will get hungry in the middle of the night."

Xiao Bo's irises turned right and left slowly under his closed lids. He slowly opened his eyes and rubbed his bleary eyes to see clearly.

"Shen Yu...Xin Yi..." Xiao Bo's voice was hoarse yet it sounded so endearing.

He hugged the blanket tightly and sat up on the bed. He was still sleepy.

His eyes were droopy so he didn't see Mu Chen who was standing there silently observing even his tiny actions.

"Wei... Gege?" Xiao Bo asked as he rubbed his eyes with pouty lips.

"Aww, why are you so cute, Xiao Xiao?" Xin Yi couldn't handle it and squeezed his cheeks.

"Ow, Xin Yi... it hurts," Xiao Bo sulked, pouting more.

"Ugh, even I can't take it."

Shen Yu hugged him as Xiao Bo was looking like an adorable little chick peeking out from the blanket.

"Shen Yu..." Xiao Bo whined.

"Wei Chen Gege left as you were sleeping soundly. We didn't want to wake you up but it's time for dinner and you didn't eat anything even for lunch," Xin Yi voiced out.

"Oh..." Xiao Bo looked down as his pout deepened.

"Song Xiao Bo," Wang Mu Chen called.

Xiao Bo who was sleepy till now was shaken as he heard the familiar voice. He lifted his head and saw him.

His heart thundered as he clutched the blanket so tightly that his knuckles turned pale white.

Mu Chen, Xin Yi, and Shen Yu saw the scared expression on his face clearly.

Xiao Bo backed away and hid behind Shen Yu fearing the elder.

>>>W-Why...is he here...?

Xin Yi grabbed Xiao Bo's hand and squeezed it. 

"Xiao Xiao, you don't have to be scared. He is Wang Mu Chen, Shen Yu's cousin, and my friend."

He explained thinking that the smaller was frightened seeing a stranger in the room.

Xiao Bo peeked out from Shen Yu,

>>>Calm down, Xiao Bo. He don't know you, it's 2013...yes right, he doesn't know me...so it's fine...

He gulped his saliva and bowed shyly at the elder.

Wang Mu Chen nodded and looked away. 

"Let's go, it's getting late. We have to come back before your dorms will be closed."

Xiao Bo looked confused, "Where are we...?"

"We are going out for dinner, Mu Gege is treating us, let's eat to our heart's content Xiao Xiao," Xin Yi chirped.

But Xiao Bo bit his lower lips trying to control his tears cause Xin Yi could freely call the elder 'Mu Gege' but when he did so...

The disgust in the elder's eyes...he couldn't forget it and how without batting an eye he ordered his men to cut off his tongue for calling him that...

Xiao Bo clutched the sheets tightly and looked away.

Shen Yu frowned as the other was silent. 

"Xiao Bo, are you thinking of not going? You can't, you didn't even eat the meals this afternoon. It's not good to sleep on an empty stomach."

>>>But I go without food for three days...

It was normal for him cause Song Yi Ming didn't want his youngest son to gain any fat.

He starved him for days whenever he thought the younger gained a little weight and it was nothing new for him.

He would just faint. He was habituated to it. Even if he was allowed to eat, his father would only give him greens and a glass of vegetable juice so he didn't know what other foods tasted like.

In his past life, he never had a decent meal till his death. Either he was starved or he ate what was given to him and it wasn't something a human should eat.

Cause mostly they were rotten and the worst thing he ate was when he was in the brothel...he was made to eat the men's cum.

He only knew one delicious thing which his older brother brought him once on his birthday when he was young before they fought in his past life.

That was a strawberry-flavored candy and when he ate that for the first time his reaction was priceless.

He wanted to eat more of it but couldn't as his brother didn't talk with him and didn't care about him after the fight.

He could have brought and eaten but couldn't as he was always surrounded by Song Yi Ming's bodyguards who would restrict him from doing anything.

Everyone thought Song Xiao Bo was such a spoilt brat who would always be accompanied by the bodyguards, and if anyone dared to say something against him his bodyguards would beat them to death.

That's why he was hated and no one approached him. But the bodyguards acted on their own and Xiao Bo had no control over them in return he was being controlled by them.

"Come on Xiao Xiao, hurry up. I am starving, let's go eat, hm?" Xin Yi asked again shaking the smaller's hand.

Shen Yu also looked at him with pleading eyes.

Xiao Bo nodded his head slowly pursuing his lips. He didn't want to go cause of Mu Chen but he couldn't say no to his friends who were looking at him with expectations.

The four of them were in the car, Mu Chen was driving while Xin Yi sat beside him. Shen Yu and Xiao Bo sat in the back seat.

Xin Yi was talking casually with Mu Chen about the project he was working on. While Xiao Bo and Shen Yu were talking about the anime movies as usual.

Wang Mu Chen was glancing at Xiao Bo through the rare view mirror time-to-time whenever he heard the little euphonious giggles of the Younger.

Soon he stopped the car in front of a small restaurant that was bustling with customers. It was not some high-class three Michelin-starred restaurant.

It was a normal famous restaurant near their University which most of the students, and office workers frequented.

Mu Chen smoothly parked the car and opened the door for Xin Yi like a gentleman.

He was about to open the door for Xiao Bo too but he did it himself and stood outside before that cause he was never used to waiting for anyone to open his door as his bodyguards never did such things. He looked at the restaurant in a trance.

Shen Yu clung to Xiao Bo, "Why, you never visited such places? Why do you look so surprised?"

"Young Master Song might find this humble restaurant uncomfortable but we don't eat those classy, only pleasant-to-see food in those high-end restaurants," Mu Chen commented.

Xiao Bo's trance was broken as heard the elder. He gulped and downcasted not wanting to answer anything back to him. He just fidgeted with the hem of his shirt.

Only if Wang Mu Chen knew that Xiao Bo was just so happy and couldn't believe that he could go to such places with his friends cause in his past life he didn't have friends and never hung out with them in such restaurants.

He was always jealous whenever he saw a group of friends hanging out, laughing, eating, and drinking together but he couldn't do anything as such cause he was always escorted by his bodyguards as soon as the classes ended.

"Mu Gege, don't be rude," Xin Yi reprimanded and looked at the smaller, "Xiao Xiao, is it your first time in here?"

Xiao Bo looked up and nodded quietly.

"No problem, the food here is so much better than in those fancy restaurants," Shen Yu placed his arm over the smaller's shoulder, "I will show you the true taste of Shanghai, let's go." And dragged him inside.

Mu Chen and Xin Yi followed them and sat at a table,

"Two bowls of eel noodles, one of the pan-fried dumplings, two scallion pancakes, and three plates of radish fritters," Shen Yu ordered.

"I have ordered for me and Xiao Bo, you both order yours," Shen Yu said making Xin Yi shake his head with a smile.

"Two scallion oil noodles and dumpling soup," Mu Chen ordered quietly.

The waiter went away after taking the orders.

"Are you sure, you are gonna eat all those?" Xin Yi asked.

"Of course, and Xiao Bo would also eat with me so it's fine," Shen Yu claimed.

"Don't worry, even though he looks thin, he eats three people's food in one go," Mu Chen mentioned.

"Ah, Shen Yu is such a foodie. What about you, Xiao Bo, are you picky with food? Can you eat what Shen Yu ordered for you?" Xin Yi queried.

Xiao Bo was frozen as he heard the question.

>>>I don't even know the names of that food...I am hearing them for the first time...

Song Xiao Bo just nodded his head quietly not wanting to upset his friends.

"Good, I and Xiao Bo have so much in common. And I know he will love the food I ordered for him," Shen Yu proclaimed with a proud face.

Soon the food was placed in front of them. Xiao Bo felt dizzy just sniffing the strong scent of the food.

Cold sweats formed on his forehead as Shen Yu gave him chopsticks and placed the bowl of noodles in front of him.
