Chapter-48: Arrival Of The Mu Chen Of The Past Day Before?

Feng Xin Yi, Cao Shen Yu, and Xiao Bo's prattling went on until dawn. Both the smaller's friends shared the experiences they had when they traveled to other cities with their family and buddies.

Xiao Bo kept on listening and asking them to tell him more as he was amazed by those interesting stories.

The three of them then slept like logs till the blazing sun rose at their heads. Wang Mu Chen knew the three of them chatted for a long period as he was right beside their room. 

Therefore, he didn't wake them up until noon. He knocked on their door at lunch time worried that the smaller must be hungry and still had to take meds after that.

He didn't forget to bring Xiao Bo's medicines with him and sent Maple and its kittens to the pet care center for three days.

"Snowball," Mu Chen called gently, knocking on the door again.

Xiao Bo squeezed open his eyes hearing his nickname. Rubbing his bleary eyes, the smaller walked toward the door moving away from Shen Yu, who was sleeping practically on him with his hands and legs on him.

He opened the door and saw Mu Chen who smiled at him and brushed his hair adoringly.

"Freshen up and come out for lunch, Snowball."

"Um..." Xiao Bo nodded slightly with pouty lips still not fully awake and enjoyed the elder rubbing his hair.

Wang Mu Chen's heart was filled with fondness seeing how cute Xiao Bo was with his snowball cheeks having a hint of pink shade and his pouty rosy-glossed plump lips that were inviting.

Xiao Bo felt sleepy and closing his eyes he hugged Mu Chen and placed his head on the elder's chest.

"My Snowball is such a sleepyhead," Mu Chen commented as he continued to stroke the smaller's hair.

The small, warm, and delicate body of Xiao Bo in his sturdy muscular arms made Mu Chen feel all fuzzy inside his heart.

Mu Chen placed a kiss on the smaller's head and embraced him tightly.

"Oh ho! See these love birds early in the morning," Xin Yi who woke up due to the commotion voiced out waking up Shen Yu.

"Ah, let me sleep more, Mama!" Shen Yu mumbled deep in sleep.

"Who the heck is your Mama, wake up you knucklehead," Xin Yi kicked his friend who fell to the floor with a thud.

"Ow!" Shen Yu was fully awake now, "Oy! How dare you kick me, you wait there," he stood up and chased after Xin Yi who ran around the beds while chuckling and teasing his friend.

"Mu Ge! See this guy, he kicked me!" Shen Yu yelled seeing the elder outside the door.

"Why will Mu Gege help you? Can't you see he is busy with his fiance," Xin Yi showed his tongue.

Wang Mu Chen shook his head, "You both stop playing around and go freshen up. I managed your seniors to let you sleep all morning but they won't leave it if you guys don't go down and help them get everything ready, it's already noon."

Both Xin Yi and Shen Yu froze in their spots and remembered that their seniors had given them some tasks to complete by the evening so that everyone could enjoy the party at night.

"Oh no! It totally slipped my mind," Xin Yi exclaimed and rushed to the washroom taking a towel on the hanger.

"Oy! If you go in there then what about me? Come out I need to go first, you bath for like an hour." Shen Yu started banging on the washroom door.

"I... also need to..." Xiao Bo opened his eyes fully now hearing friends screaming and stared at the elder.

"You don't have to, Snowball. You can stay with me all the time. No one will bother you to do any work," Mu Chen whispered.

"Huh? But... don't they think I'm rude for not working when everyone is doing..." Xiao Bo was cut off.

Mu Chen put his index finger on the smaller's lips and stopped him from speaking further, "What help can you do with this tiny body of yours? You will faint just by carrying some boxes of feathers." 

Xiao Bo pursued his lips glaring at the elder while narrowing his eyes looking like a little offended rabbit.

"I'm not that weak!" Xiao Bo asserted trying to push away the elder.

"You are, Snowball." Mu Chen grinned seeing how the smaller became sulky and added, "Your health is not good right now. Next year when you organize the fresher's party for your juniors, then you can do the work and help your classmates. Not now, okay?"

"But..." 

"No buts. It's decided, you will just stay by my side today and enjoy."

Xiao Bo looked down, rubbing his right hallux on the floor, his hands still clutching onto the back of the elder's shirt.

"Come on, you don't want to spend time with me, Snowball? I'm hurt," Mu Chen showed a fake upset expression keeping his right hand on his chest, dramatically.

Which made Xiao Bo instantly look up in worry, "N-No! I... I want to spend time with you too... I'm sorry." 

Mu Chen smiled and right away cupped the smaller's face in his palms as he couldn't hold back seeing Xiao Bo's lovely face and his crystal clear brunette eyes that held the galaxies within them. 

He placed a kiss on the smaller's forehead making Xiao Bo a blushy mess. 

"You!" Xiao Bo muttered as he gave a light paw punch on the elder's chest feeling shy.

"Ah, why are you so damn cute, my Snowball?" Mu Chen pulled the smaller into a hug again, beaming widely.

Xiao Bo too was smiling as he hugged back the elder mumbling a low, "...I don't know."

Shen Yu felt terrible eating the dog food right after waking up and Xin Yi slightly opened the door and peeked at the two with a 'PDA is prohibited' look on his face.

Later, after having lunch prepared by the seniors and all the other students Xin Yi, Shen Yu, Li Fan, and Mei Lan went to complete the work their seniors gave them.

Xiao Bo tried to help them here and there but they all refused to give him any work. Even the haughty seniors dared not to let him do work in fear of Mu Chen.

Defeated, Xiao Bo sat beside Mu Chen who handed him coconut water to drink with an 'I told you' look written on his face.

The smaller was still sulking that he had to wear meggings inside his shorts and arm sleeves inside his beach shirt, unlike the other students.

Mu Chen even put a hat on Xiao Bo's head telling him that it would protect his face from the sun even after applying a ton of sunscreen lotion.

To Xiao Bo, Mu Chen became his second protective elder brother after Wei Chen or he even might as well become his mother with all the care he put on the smaller just to let him walk on the beach.

Many of the students giggled seeing the ever so cold and stone-faced Mu Chen being all protective, possessive, and nagging like an old man with Xiao Bo.

The night came, it was a treasure-hunting game in the forest near the beach. The freshers could either pair up with their classmates or with one of the seniors and play the game.

Mei Lan asked Xin Yi to pair up with him so as to give his twin brother Li Fan some time alone with his soon-to-be husband, Shen Yu.

That was how Li Fan and Shen Yu became a pair. As per everyone's expectations, Xiao Bo paired up with Mu Chen.

All the other students too paired up randomly with their friends, with the seniors they had crushes on and started the game.

Xiao Bo was so excited when he found a clue hidden in the trunk of a tree. Mu Chen wanted to help him interpret the message hidden in the poem of the clue but the smaller wanted to do it by himself so he refused.

He didn't get to do all this in his past life as he was so scared of the bodyguards who followed him there by his father's orders and then informed him, that night he must be prepared to seduce Mu Chen and make him his.

At that time, Xiao Bo was so out of it to enjoy the games so he wanted to do it now by Mu Chen by his side without any worries.

Mu Chen just followed Xiao Bo as the smaller looked for the clues letting him have the fun.

By the time, Xiao Bo understood the hints and reached the place where the treasure was hidden Li Fan and Shen Yu already found it.

Disappointed, Xiao Bo stared at the elder.

"Why are you looking at me like that now, Snowball? I told you I will help you understand the hints but you didn't let me," Mu Chen raised his both hands in the air and backed off in surrender.

"But that will be cheating. You must have known everything beforehand that's why I wanted to find the treasure by myself," Xiao Bo stomped on the ground looking away.

Mu Chen grinned widely, "Alright, let's go back. In the end, it's your friend that won, right? You can find it in tomorrow's treasure-hunting game. They said it will be a big reward."

"Really?" Xiao Bo's eyes brightened upon hearing it.

"Yes. Cause tomorrow will be our last night here, my classmates planned something big. It will be more fun tomorrow." 

Mu Chen assured him placing his arm on the smaller's shoulder and guiding him back to the beach where the other students were grilling the meat for the dinner.

"Oy, what are you doing? Didn't Wang Mu Chen prohibit us from bringing alcohol here?"

One student queried seeing his classmates opening a carton of alcohol bottles.

"Hush! Be quiet! We brought it without his knowledge. I know he wants to keep this fresher's party so clean because of his fiance but what's a party without some booze?"

"Right, and don't you remember how our seniors made us drink bottles of alcohol during our freshers and took a promise that we should also do that to our juniors?"

"Yes, we are just keeping our promises to our seniors so there is nothing wrong in this."

"But what if he finds out?"

"He won't. We will be mixing it in the fruit punch and we all know Mu Chen doesn't drink any juices."

"What if he tries to give one to junior Xiao Bo?"

"We will keep a fruit punch that doesn't have alcohol in it aside and when Mu Chen asks it for his fiance we will give that drink to him.

"Oh my! In that way, we can enjoy our booze without letting him know."

"Hehe! Yes!"

Those students giggled together mixing the alcohol in the fruit punch.

However, they didn't know then that in their drunken state, they'd serve the alcohol-mixed fruit punch to Mu Chen and Xiao Bo.

After eating the barbecue, Shen Yu brought the fruit punches for their group of six. It was because of that he brought them, the seniors gave him the alcohol mixed fruit punch as they didn't know it was also for Mu Chen.

All of them drank it without much thought and kept on drinking it as it was delicious. Mu Chen noticed on his first sip that it was alcohol.

He was about to take away the glass from Xiao Bo but he felt like someone was hammering his head continuously.

He excused himself to the washroom to wash his face but then lost consciousness. 

After some time, Mu Chen walked toward the group and saw them all in a drunken state, especially Xiao Bo was laughing and speaking in a slur with Xin Yi and Shen Yu.

Mu Chen then observed the surroundings carefully. He took the drunken Xiao Bo in his arms and started walking toward his room.

"Um...*hiccup* I think I'm flying..." Xiao Bo surrounded his arm around Mu Chen's neck and spoke in a slurry voice.

Mu Chen became rigid like a stone as the smaller's breath tingled near his Adam's apple.

"Ahem..." He cleared his throat, "Song Xiao Bo..."

Xiao Bo looked at the elder with droopy eyes, "... I'm not... a Song anymore... I'm maybe *hiccup* L-Li..." He stuttered as he pointed his finger and touched the sharp long nose of the elder giving it a boop.

Mu Chen constricted his irises as he heard it, "Li? ... You got drunk and started speaking rubbish again..." He paused as he adjusted Xiao Bo in his arms, "... is it really because you were this careless back then too or are you just so good at acting innocent?"

Xiao Bo didn't reply and just placed his head on Mu Chen's shoulder feeling tired and drowsy.

"I will know the truth this time," Mu Chen mumbled as he took Xiao Bo to his room, tucked him well inside the duvet, and lay beside him after taking off his and Xiao Bo's shirts.

The smaller snuggled into the arms of Mu Chen and slept peacefully without any care in the world while the elder gulped his saliva hard and looked at the roof trying to distract his mind.
