The ordinary yet not so ordinary detective, Wen Wen, woke up in a mental hospital and discovered that his right hand was connected to a mysterious space called the 'Catastrophe Containment Facility,' from which he could acquire the powers of the monsters imprisoned within!
By capturing a vampire, he gained a formidable physique;
By capturing a ghost, he could turn invisible and pass through walls;
By capturing a fox spirit, he could charm the opposite sex...
In short, in order to obtain more powerful abilities, Wen Wen began to diligently capture monsters, thereby stepping into the strange world of superpowers and seeing the hidden truths behind the curtain...

PS1: Inspiration partly comes from the Cthulhu Mythos and the SCP Foundation, but I'm only borrowing some elements, not a direct copy, and I hope everyone likes it.

Catastrophe Containment Facility

The oppressive footsteps were slowly drawing closer, but Wen Wen and his companion didn't feel the slightest bit of fear, instead annoyed by the other's slow pace.


When the monster finally appeared before them, Chu Wei gazed upon its face and couldn't help but inhale sharply.


It was a tall humanoid monster, with blue skin, two horns atop its head, wearing a leather skirt, and holding a glittering golden trident.


As for its appearance, Chu Wei could not make it out.


Because its entire head was covered in dense millipede monstrosities, with even its shoulders and back bearing half-buried millipedes!


Chu Wei was already somewhat afraid of insects of such a form, and the sight of so many millipedes clustered together made his scalp tingle and nearly made him vomit his meal from the previous night.


"It seems a single strange insect can't control a Disaster Level monster, so it takes many to do the job."
