The ordinary yet not so ordinary detective, Wen Wen, woke up in a mental hospital and discovered that his right hand was connected to a mysterious space called the 'Catastrophe Containment Facility,' from which he could acquire the powers of the monsters imprisoned within!
By capturing a vampire, he gained a formidable physique;
By capturing a ghost, he could turn invisible and pass through walls;
By capturing a fox spirit, he could charm the opposite sex...
In short, in order to obtain more powerful abilities, Wen Wen began to diligently capture monsters, thereby stepping into the strange world of superpowers and seeing the hidden truths behind the curtain...

PS1: Inspiration partly comes from the Cthulhu Mythos and the SCP Foundation, but I'm only borrowing some elements, not a direct copy, and I hope everyone likes it.

Catastrophe Containment Facility

Strictly speaking, these Mirror Image Guards are quite similar in function to the Demon Hunters in the real world, as both are geared towards preventing invasions.


But now that Wen Wen was being treated as an invader, he felt quite emotional about it, so he attempted to communicate with the Mirror Image Guards to avoid this meaningless fight.


"I came to this world to save people, and as soon as I rescue everyone taken by the Mirror Nightmare, I will return to my original world."


"Our enemies are the Mirror Nightmares; there's no need to fight here..."


Before Wen Wen could finish speaking, the Mirror Image Guard attacked again, its tongue and tail transforming into long whips that lashed towards Wen Wen.


"As expected... they can't understand what I'm saying, it seems there's no way to communicate."


While dodging the attacks from the Mirror Image Guards, Wen Wen tried various methods to probe them.
