Not So Good Grandma

AiLin eyed the people gathered around her. No matter how long it had been, she still could not get used to the gaze of people who were gauging her worth. Their eyes said what they had in mind: their wish to become closer to her for the benefits she could bring, not to see her as a human.

When she was still with the Jiang Family, many people had come to her with the same motives. She didn't think it was bad, after all, people need something from her and she could return the same thoughts to them. But it did affect her badly when she realized that the people who once were desperate to be on her side immediately ran away when seeing that befriending her became a disadvantage.

Li ZiChen eyed her who was smiling while talking to people but when they didn't notice, she softly sighed, her eyes turning bleak. He softly placed his hands around her waist, pulling her closer, "I think it's time for us to go now. Enjoy the party everyone."
