Racing through the massive Way-Point Station, Judith couldn't help but turn her sights in all directions. Everywhere she looked there was one corpse or the other. Broken bodies and broken Way-Points. With just one at the far end of the massive hall.
'He was baiting us.' Judith thought when she realized he could've gotten into this Station anytime he pleased.
This was not how things were supposed to go, so many dead, so many lost. Originally, they were supposed to sneak through the city in the dead of night, invade the Way-Point Station, and safely return to Xian City.
The rogue Tethereds left behind would be captured but not killed. Now, the sights before Judith made her stomach lurch.
Things were changing, but...how much? How much of this world would be out of her control? Was any of it even ever under her control? As she thought, her heart rate spiked, so the already aggressive beating intensified.
