Fiona's Pov

The throne room was silent once the elders left, their murmurs fading down the long halls. Only Sebastian and I remained, standing in the stillness of the room. The weight of the discussion lingered like an invisible storm cloud.

Sebastian paced slowly, his brow furrowed in deep thought. "I hate this," he muttered, his voice low but sharp. "Waiting, watching—when all I want is to put an end to her once and for all."

"I know," I said, moving closer to him. "But you said it yourself: rushing in would be a mistake. Sabrina wants us to be reckless. She's counting on it."

He stopped and turned to me, his blue eyes searching mine. "How do you stay so calm in the face of all this, Fiona? Knowing what she's done… the lives she's taken… how can you keep your composure?"
