Asher's Awakening

Asher stood in the dark penthouse suite, the city lights glittering through the floor-to-ceiling windows. Once a beloved Hollywood starlet, she now felt consumed by the very fame that had once defined her. The adoration of her fans had turned to hatred, their tweets and comments laced with venom.



She took another swig from the bottle of whiskey, the liquid burning her throat. Her so-called mother and fiancé had betrayed her, using her for their own gain before discarding her. The pain of their deception cut deeper than any tabloid headline.
