Arwen's hands remained in mid-air, holding the chocolate while she blinked at Aiden, who stood by the door, staring at her as if he had caught her red-handed.
Even though Arwen was not guilty, under his gaze like that, she felt like she was caught stealing.
"What?" she asked, defensive. "Why are you looking at me like that?"
Aiden raised his brow at his defensive tone. His eyes slowly darted to her hands before zeroing in on the chocolate. "What are you having?" he asked.
"Chocolate," she said, not holding any breath of hesitation. "And I didn't steal it. So don't look at me like that."
Aiden walked in, taking his steps to her side. Reaching her, his eyes settled on the familiar golden box of chocolates that he had seen at Granna's place. 'Of course, you are not stealing,' he muttered under his breath and Arwen grunted, clearing her throat again.
