Blaze and Leus stepped out of Ishaan's office, each lost in his own thoughts.

Blaze strode towards the wall with the job posts on it, and Leus was absentmindedly following him; his eyes glued to the card in his hand, turning it over with a small smile.

'I'm now an official Warrior-Mage' He thought with a chuckle ...

However, his chuckle was interrupted; a brown-haired man came in front of Leus, blocking his path

"Hey there"

Leus' gaze traveled up, locking into the man's brown eyes

"Yes?"

The man had a friendly expression on his face

"Are you interested in joining a team?" He asked with a polite smile ...

Leus shook his head

"No, not currently"

"Is that so? I'm the leader of Brown Swords. I know that you are new here, but surely, if you stick around, you'll hear about us"

Leus nodded

"Thanks for the offer. If I'm interested in joining a team I'll let you know"

The man nodded and extended his hand forward

"Sounds good enough. I'm Dean"

Leus shook the man's hand

"Nice to meet you Dean, I'm Leus"

After shaking hands with Dean, Leus walked past him and continued moving forward, catching up to Blaze who didn't bother to even look back.

When Leus got beside him, Blaze teased him

"Already getting invites, popular boy"

Leus scratched the back of his head

"Ah ... Do you know him?"

"Yeah, that's Dean. He's a popular Elite Knight around here, quite an active guy"

"Elite? That's cool"

He reevaluated the offer for a moment then added

"Well, it doesn't matter anyway; I won't be here for long"

Blaze agreed

"Indeed. But it might be useful later"

He added

"Connections like Dean’s might not seem important now... but in the future? Who knows where your path might lead"

" ... I will keep that in mind, Father"

The two reached the wall, so Blaze pointed at the posted jobs

"Check them out and let me know if anything catches your attention"

Leus nodded and began reading ...

The missions varied between Hunting, Eliminating, Escorting, and Gathering

'Gathering seems to be about collecting ingredients like plants'

'Escorting is obvious'

"What's the difference between hunting and eliminating?"

Blaze explained

"The objective differs:

In Hunting, you need to bring back the Beast's body, or at least some parts of it.

Eliminating, however, means that you just have to kill it.

So Hunting Missions requires specific tools, like magical sacks or pouches to preserve the body and carry it."

Leus nodded

"I see ..."

Leus pointed at an Elite Level job; Eliminate Ice Mammoth ...

"How about this?"

Blaze shook his head

"No. If we go for it then you'll have to stay back and watch, making it useless"

Leus sighed

'But the reward is 3 silvers ...'

' ... I'm greedy'

He turned to the missions at the Knight Level and quickly chose an Elimination one

"Is this good?"

Blaze scratched his chin in thought

"Earth Rhino? Hmm ..."

After a brief pause, he decided

"Yeah, let's go for it."

Blaze pointed at another Knight-Level job

"I'll get this too"

Leus read it

'Eliminate a pack of Water Foxes'

"Alright"

Blaze smirked

'This will be fun'

He took the posts and headed back with Leus to Lisa's desk.

Strangely, her desk was empty ...

Immediately, Blaze realized what Ishaan asked Lisa to do

'That bastard couldn't even wait until we left ... '

'Family is everything huh'

Regardless, Blaze didn't dwell much on it; he quickly turned around and went to the desk of the blue-haired female

"We'd like to take these missions"

The woman spoke with a polite smile

"Sure. Activate your cards and hand them to me"

Leus and Blaze did as she said ...

The blue-haired woman then took the cards and put them in some magic circle, and a list of missions showed up. After that, she chose the two missions, added them to each card, and handed the cards back.

"Now whenever you activate your cards you'll be able to see the details of your missions."

But before giving them back the cards, she warned

"Please note that if the missions are not completed within a week, we'll re-post them, and if someone else finishes them first then you won't get any reward"

Leus and Blaze nodded in understanding ...

Blaze turned to Leus

"Check the details of the missions until I come, I'll go to the magic stall and buy a magical sack, we'll need it"

The objective is to neutralize the threat and restore safe operations for the gatherers.

Target: A large Earth Rhino with considerable size and limited mobility.

Task: Search and eliminate the Earth Rhino. Locating the creature should be straightforward due to its size.

Bonus: Participants are encouraged to retrieve the Rhino's horn. Successful retrieval will result in an additional bronze coin reward.

Reward: 1 Silver Coin.)

(Objective Two: Invasive Water Wolves

A pack of Water Wolves has been sighted along the western perimeter of the forest, disrupting the local ecosystem.

The mission is to eliminate the invasive pack.

Target: A pack of 6 to 8 Water Wolves.

Task: Eliminate the pack to restore balance to the area.

Note: Locating the wolves may present a challenge due to their elusive nature. To verify the completion of the mission, participants must collect the ears of the wolves as proof of their elimination.

Bonus: A bronze coin will be rewarded for presenting the ears.

Reward: 1 Silver Coin.)

Leus was busy reading the details of the missions, silently cursing the Guild's unnecessarily complex language, when suddenly a disturbance appeared within his domain. Something—or someone—was approaching, FAST.

His instinct kicked in ...

Without a second thought, Leus crouched, just narrowly avoiding a fist aimed directly at his head.

The blow passed where he had been standing moments earlier, and the atmosphere became slightly tensed ...

"Woah! Not bad kid" Came a voice from behind.

Leus turned around, narrowing his eyes as they locked on a red-haired man who started a slow clap with a smug grin ...

'What the hell is wrong with this guy?!'

Leus started being careful

"What's wrong with you?"

He inspected the man's body and concluded

'I shouldn't get in a fight, he seems to be an Elite, I'll get beaten for sure'

Replying to Leus, the man shrugged and spoke nonchalantly

"I was just intrigued to test your reaction time" He said, as if throwing a punch at someone’s head was a perfectly normal way to satisfy curiosity.

Seeing Leus' annoyed expression, he stepped forward, the playful smile still etched on his face

"Hey, as compensation, I'll give you some advice"

He didn't wait for Leus' answer and leaned closer to him

"When someone is hitting you from behind, you should move away, not crouch; I could've kicked you, and you wouldn't have had a chance to dodge it"

Then, with a grin that could only be described as dumb, he asked

"Are we even now?"

Leus wasn't really pleased with the situation, but he wasn't interested in extending the pointless conversation any longer

"Fine ..."

'I wasn't harmed so there's no need to retaliate for now.'

'He seems to be messing around anyway, just a bothersome guy'

Blaze was nearby, and he obviously sensed everything, however, he didn't interfere

Thinking like that, he waited until the man walked away, then he went to Leus

"Let's go" He said casually, as if nothing had happened.

Leus replied evenly

"Yeah, let's go ..."
