Thankfully, they still had a few minutes to spare before the arrival of the queen. They made their way to their assigned seats, exchanging quiet greetings with the other ladies as they sat down.

The ladies present gave them a fleeting glance before returning their attention to what they were doing before. The atmosphere was tense, with an undercurrent of anticipation.

Some minutes later, the maids stationed at the door announced the presence of the queen and the Ravenwood sisters. The room fell silent, and all the ladies seated rose to pay their respects to the queen.

The queen's audible voice was heard as she made her way to the small podium in the hall, her presence commanding attention. "It has been two great months of having you in the royal palace, esteemed ladies, and each day has been refreshing," she began, her voice warm and gracious.
