IT BOTHERED HER

~{LEAH'S POV}~

******

The next day at work, I stood in Arleen's office as she gave me orders, until,

"....since I'm not inclined to travel to Paris to take a look at Mr Percy's brand, you'll go on my behalf."

If I was drinking water I would've choked on it.

I wanted to object but how could I?

She once told me never to mix personal stuff with work and I couldn't refuse.

"And since you'll be representing me there, I want you to wear what he sent you."

At her statement, my heart skipped a beat as I blinked at her.

"Don't let anyone intimidate you and make sure y…"

"Lady Arleen,'' I carefully interrupted her.

"Yes?"

"I returned everything back to him."

A brief silence settled between us as she looked at me before asking, "Were his intentions for you bad?"

"No."

"Then why did you return them?" She frowned in confusion.
