A truly bizarre rule that made him feel strange. Was the sect leader that great of a figure? Why did they need such strict rules?
"I don't know why, but there are no women in the history of Hao Sect's leadership." Nabi chuckled. "So I thought I was out of the running. But that didn't mean I was free from the ceremony. I am still a potential servant, after all."
She turned to the side and took the glass of wine on the table, sipping it slowly.
"Being a servant means my freedom will be taken from me. I don't want that, and I am sure the rest don't want it either."
Putting the glass on the table, Nabi leaned her head against Leo's shoulder and continued. Her voice sounded pretty weak and... pitiful.
