Julia was regarded as the little princess of the Knight family, based in Region One of Sector Two, where the Sol solar system is located.
As a family with mixed blood of all three human species, Julia was considered a hybrid, leaning more towards the normal human side of the spectrum, and had white, silvery, long hair and dark eyes.
Her family was one of the most powerful in the empire, due to their lineage producing numerous powerhouses.
As a young girl, Julia had always dreamt of joining her family's Hall of Fame of Hero Hunters. She decided to become a hunter at the tender age of six, beginning her training before her awakening and to eventually attend the prestigious Hunters Academy.
She was someone who always appeared serious and cold. Her personality and background made it challenging for others to form friendships with her.
While not entirely bothered, she secretly wished to make a few close friends, and not friends with those who only wanted to get close to her family.
When she was four years old, during an outing with her entourage to explore the outskirts of Central City on Earth, she got lost and had no idea where to go.
It was at that moment a young boy of her age approached her and kept her company until her entourage found her.
That experience had made her aware of the importance of a genuine connection, and she pledged to make him her friend if they ever met again.
.....
Julia was having her daily dose of training when she heard the news of a space vessel being caught in a Cosmic Mana Wave. While unfortunate, it did not bother her too much.
That was until she heard the ones caught in the wave were middle school students who were on their way to the Hunters Academy for a tour.
The news got even weirder when she was told that one of the students displaced had been able to survive, a feat that was deemed impossible.
"You sure of the authenticity of the report?" she asked her butler and protector.
"Yes, Young Miss. And you wouldn't believe who survived." The butler teased. From his tone, one could tell he was very familiar with what Julia had an interest in.
"Well, don't keep me waiting. Out with it." She demanded impatiently.
"The survivor was a boy who goes by the name of Alexander Gray." He finished with a smile.
The butler had known the Young Miss her entire life, and since the day she returned from a trip to Earth, she had talked profusely about a new friend she had made there.
From that point on, Julia had pretty much turned stalker; well, not in a bad way, but still, she showed a degree of interest in the boy that she wanted to know all there was about him.
When Julia heard the name mentioned, she froze. Initially, she was taken aback by the fact that the boy she wished to befriend was so close to death.
Then there was fear and, finally, relief. As the rollercoaster of emotions washed over her in a brief span, she sat down to take a breather.
Her butler just stood by and observed the various changes she underwent and stifled a chuckle.
Once she was able to take a breather, she asked, "Where is he now? Is he still on the Orbital Ring? Are there any side effects? What would happen to him in the long run...?"
As Julia fired one question after another, her butler attempted to advise her to calm down, as there was no need for a hundred questions.
"He is fine and is still on the Orbital Ring. From what I heard, he would be kept there a few more days just to be sure he was out of the woods."
"Mm, that's the logical thing to do." She mulled over the issue before suggesting, "James, how about we go there right now?"
Her butler, now identified as James, slowly shook his head before saying, "Miss Julia, I don't think that would be a good idea.
"Not to mention, I doubt he would even recognise you. And let's not forget you'd need your father's permission before going anywhere.
And with the incident of the cosmic mana wave still very recent, that would even be more challenging."
James provided her with a list of reasons why going up there right now was not the best idea. While Julia remembered Alexander Gray, Alex might not have had the same fortune, as Julia had changed over the years.
Indeed, a few years ago, Julia did not have her silvery-white hair as she had now, and her face has evolved significantly from the cute little girl she once was.
While Alex failed to get her name back then, Julia had not forgotten to keep tabs on him. "I see…" She responded dejectedly.
Seeing her Young Miss downcast, James decided to give her a lifeline.
"Although I heard your uncle would be returning to see the miracle boy. After all, the event is unprecedented."
"Uncle…? Is it Uncle Zol?" she asked uncertainly, yet still smiling; after all, she had many uncles. A family as large as hers spread throughout the empire, and she had numerous relatives.
And because the family was primarily a family of hunters, they had a longer lifespan than normal humans, as the stronger they were, the longer they lived.
"Of course, who else? And I have never seen him ever deny a request from you." He added, but kept the last words to himself. 'But it would have to be a reasonable request.'
"So, in a few days, you'd finally get to meet your boyfriend." He teased once more.
The comment indeed triggered her defence mechanism, and she reacted just as he predicted.
"He's not my boyfriend!" She hollered with a red face, turning her face away.
Naturally, she hadn't thought about him that way, as it was purely a curious interest in Alex as a friend, but the comment did give her something to think about.
After regaining her composure, she got up to go back to her room, intending to go read more about the incident.
"James, inform me when Uncle gets back. I don't want to miss him." She instructed, moving ahead.
"Yes, of course, Lady Julia." With a slight bow, James accepted her commands.
