Chapter 391: Why Share When One Guy Can Use Them All?

This time, Pei Guang and his group's arrival on Earth had significantly boosted the strength of humanity. Among the key members of Fire Moth, three had gained power from Pei Guang, and even an "ordinary" soldier had unexpectedly received the same gift.

Thus, under Pei Guang's leadership, a six-person team began searching the city for supplies.

The situation on Earth was different from that of Belobog. Belobog's survival crisis was not only due to the Stellaron and the Fragmentum erosion but also a severe shortage of essential resources.

Earth, however, was in a different predicament. Though the Antimatter Legion had imposed strict suppression, their advance was gradual. Many critical supplies had been evacuated before the Legion arrived.

Now, while humanity had been forced to retreat to a single remaining continent, resources were not as scarce as in Belobog. Because of this, Pei Guang prioritized searching treasure chests, while other resources were taken only if convenient.

And so, they developed a pattern—searching for supplies, then fishing when exhausted, then resuming their search once they had recovered.

After three days, the group had uncovered over two hundred treasure chests across the city. Yet, aside from the initial golden chests opened by Kevin and Elysia, out of the 223 total chests, exactly ten legendary weapons had dropped.

However… looking at the ten Judgments of Shamash laid out before them, Pei Guang felt completely baffled.

A legendary drop rate of one in twenty—which was absurdly high—but the fact that every single golden drop had been the same weapon left Pei Guang staring at them with a blank expression.

When the last container in the city had been looted, Pei Guang placed all ten Judgments of Shamash on the ground and sighed.

"Ah Guang, do we count this as good luck or bad luck?"

Stelle stared at the pile of identical weapons, also feeling a bit dazed. Until now, every legendary item Pei Guang had pulled had been unique—but somehow, every golden drop here had been the same weapon.

She had never seen anything like this before, but she was sure he would have an explanation.

Pei Guang stroked his chin in thought. "Maybe… this area has a high drop rate but only for specific equipment? That's a pretty common RPG mechanic."

He had another guess—since Earth wasn't part of his main story, it was likely treated as a side quest or DLC content. In such cases, each region might have a fixed loot table.

To compensate for the limited number of lootable containers, the drop rate was boosted to ensure that players would at least get something useful. This also meant players could get extra copies in case they accidentally dismantled or discarded their best gear—a common mistake among players with overflowing inventories.

Thinking about this, Pei Guang muttered, "Yeah, I bet only the main storyline drops the really good stuff. Side content like this? Probably just some cool toys to play around with."

March 7th tilted her head. "But… do we really need this many of the same weapon?"

Pei Guang glanced at the pile of Judgments of Shamash before shifting his gaze toward Kevin, who stood upright beside them.

"I don't know if we can use all of them… but I do know someone who definitely can."

Pei Guang turned to Kevin and smirked. "Kevin, how's the Judgment of Shamash treating you?"

Upon being asked, Kevin nodded. "It's… very effective. However, its final form can only be used once per day, and the energy consumption is… substantial."

Over the past few days, Kevin had tested the weapon's full power in an abandoned area.

He wasn't sure what the ultimate move was called, but the moment he unleashed it, the sky itself had changed.

Kevin had no idea just how powerful the attack was, but thinking back on the battles he had fought, he knew one thing for certain—

If he had possessed this weapon back then, far fewer people would have died.

As for the energy consumption? After using Judgment of Shamash's weapon skill once, Kevin felt completely drained. If not for the abundance of full recovery items Pei Guang had given him, he would have been completely immobilized.

Pei Guang: "Alright! The organization has decided—we're giving all of these Judgment of Shamash to you. The weapon skill's cooldown applies to the weapon itself, not the user. So, with ten copies of Judgment of Shamash—eleven if we count the first one you pulled—you've effectively gone from one ultimate per day to one every two hours… or even an eleven-strike barrage if you fire them all in succession! These are legendary weapons! Eleven uses of a legendary weapon skill—can't that wipe out an entire wave of Antimatter Legion troops?"

Kevin: "Such a powerful weapon… just one is enough for me. The others should go to those who—"

Pei Guang shook his head. "I'm not giving them to you just to mess with you—I've got other strategic considerations. First, among all the soldiers here, you have the best overall combat abilities. Second… you've got ridiculously good luck."

Kevin: "…I have good luck?"

Pei Guang nodded. "Of course! You personally pulled six of these weapons. What does that tell us? It means you've got a high-tier luck buff! You've already tested the weapon's skill yourself—you know it doesn't harm the user. But here's the thing: it doesn't disable friendly fire either.

If multiple people use it, they have to carefully position themselves to avoid incinerating allies. Against enemies that require multiple powerful attacks to kill, that kind of coordination slows things down too much. Instead, you can just unleash them all at once! And don't worry—I'll keep you stocked with healing items. You pop one after every blast—it's perfect!"

The Judgment of Shamash that had appeared in Pei Guang's hands was a buffed version compared to its original counterpart. No matter who wielded it or how much health they had, they would always need to sacrifice exactly 50% of their max HP to unleash the weapon's full power. And once the HP had already been deducted, the subsequent flames would no longer harm the wielder.

But there was one small problem—it didn't specify that it wouldn't hurt allies.

Considering that there might be enemies tough enough to require multiple high-damage bursts, the best course of action was to hand all the weapons to Kevin.

Of course, that was the official reason. But for Pei Guang, the real highlight of this plan was something else.

A weapon that required sacrificing half of one's max HP to unleash a massive explosion?

To outsiders, this was the Judgment of Shamash.

But to Pei Guang, this was nothing short of a high-end version of "Stella".

And unlike the heroic self-sacrifice Stella, this version only took 50% of the user's max HP.

Now, in the next major battle, all Pei Guang had to do was chuck a handful of 50% or even 100% HP recovery items at Kevin and then shout—

"Kevin! Your energy is full!"
