The Anger

Aaron ran to the library. He looked all around and saw the spot where they spent the whole morning together. Everything was okay then and then he had to go and open his mouth. He waited anxiously, pacing back and forth. He was waiting for the door to open. He went and stood near the oak shelf where they met in the morning.

She was so shy and embarrassed then and now he turned into a ball of fire. His guilt was eating him alive. He ran his hands through his hair, his stomach churning. He could feel the phantom sting of Edwina's blows and slaps. He knew he deserved them and was ready to get hit even more.

He kept tapping his fingers on the shelf waiting for Edwina when his heart started beating fast. Was this the signal that she was coming? But he could not smell her at all. Yet he felt his heart about to jump from his chest.
