“I, Edwina Streak-Ridge of formerly of Silverstreak Pack…” spoke Edwina.
Aaron knew what was coming. “No, no, stop! You cannot.”
But Edwina ignored him. “…adopted daughter of Everridge Hounds, reject you, Aaron Silvermaw, the Lycan Prince as my mate,” shouted Edwina, tears streaming down her face.
A bright light escaped Edwina’s chest and she fell to her knees clenching her chest to ease the pain. Aaron stood before her completely frozen, perplexed. He couldn’t believe what Edwina just said. She was his true love. How could she reject him and why?
“Why? Why? Tell me what my fault is?” begged Aaron.
Edwina wiped her tears, stood up and simply walked away from him.

Edwina was adopted by Alpha and Luna of Everridge Hounds after her parent were killed in a rogue attack. She is not an ordinary wolf, she is the wolf blessed by the Moon Goddess herself. She gave her ‘glow’ to Edwina. 
Everything was fine in her life, she was the most loved, and everyone thought she would be the best Luna but she rejected Aaron and went away from her wolf life. She returned the day her Aaron was about to be engaged to another she-wolf. It broke her heart.
But why did she feel bad? She already rejected Aaron. He was free to choose a chosen mate. He was free to live his life his own way.

Moonlit Betrayal: A Luna’s Choice

Edwina and Aaron were walking together while the rest of the party were ahead of them.

"Don't think like that. You are not going to hurt anyone," snapped Aaron.

"You say this after I hurt you?" Edwina was feeling guilty.

"You just have to control your powers, Ed, instead of them controlling you," said Aaron.

"I will try. I will learn everything there is to learn," said Edwina.

"Wait! Since when are you okay with me calling you Ed? You were ready to kill me," Aaron was surprised.

"I called Ronald, Ron and he asked me to let you call me, Ed," replied Edwina.

"Ohh! He doesn't like that," said Aaron.

"I know, but I like calling him that."

"Only you can do that. When I do, he tries to bite my head," laughed Aaron. Edwina looked at him with gratitude. He was so caring and so understanding but why did he do what he did that day? How could he betray her like that and his friends, uff, they were on another level.
