The Funeral of A Wolf

Aaron kept Edwina close to his heart. She could hear his troubled heartbeat. She knew he was thinking of her. He didn't want to see her sick again. She knew so many people would get hurt. Even Winter was screaming in her ear to calm down. Aaron pleaded and pleaded.

And it worked. Edwina kept her eyes closed for a few minutes and tried to think about others who might be affected by her display of power. Then, the light was gone. She blinked her eyes and opened them.

"It is okay, you are okay," said Aaron.

"I… I am good!" said Edwina and cleared her throat. "Thank you!"

Aaron sighed with relief and let out a big puff of air from his mouth, "thank Moon goddess!" he sat down on the floor with his hand over his knee. Edwina kept exhaling loudly and she too sat down with her legs folded beside Inder.

"Is she…?" asked Alder, afraid.

"She is fine. Nothing to worry about," replied Aaron and immediately Thorin ran to her and hugged her from behind.
