All the kids kept waving to their parents as they drove away. Some were crying, some were simply wiping their tears. Thorin had his arms around Edwina's shoulder, and she had her head on his shoulder. Morgana and Alder said goodbye and thanks to everyone.
After the carriages vanished before their eyes, Edwina said, "I am going to my room. I need some time to think."
"Or are you going to cry?" asked Thorin.
"I am fine, Thor. I am not going to cry," she gave him a faint smile. She walked away leaving everyone on the grounds and walked towards her room on the second floor. Her footsteps felt heavier now as the corridors were emptier. All the alphas and lunas were gone. She opened her door and without wasting a moment closed it. She let her head fall on the heavy door and she sighed. A tear dropped from her eye. She was missing her parents.
