Edwina and Aaron were discussing things when someone suddenly spoke. They were scared that that someone must have heard everything. Was their secret out in the open? They both turned to look at who was standing before them. It was Kassidy Sawyer, the bookkeeper of the court cases.
"Where did you come from? I didn't see you entering?" snapped Aaron.
Kassidy moved a step back. It was clear that she was afraid of Aaron and his anger. Edwina had never experienced that. She had only heard how rude Aaron had become, but this was the first time she had seen it with her own eyes.
"I… I am sorry. I thought the library was empty. I needed to check on a case file," said Kassidy.
"Don't you know I have my lesson in the library? Are you an idiot?" snapped Aaron, again.
"Aaron!" shouted Edwina. "It's not your fault, um… I am sorry Kassidy, right?"
"You… you know my name?" Kassidy was impressed.
