The Stolen Speech

In the evening, the grand auditorium of the school was filled with students, all seated in their designated spots.

Qin Sheng was in the backstage area.

The person in charge was briefing her on important details.

"Qin Sheng, once the principal comes down, you'll go up to give your speech. You'll go up from here, and descend from the other side. Don't be nervous…"

Qin Sheng listened attentively.

This was her first time on stage, and the person in charge, concerned about any mishaps, kept emphasizing the same points. After all, the freshmen assembly would be aired on television.

The briefing lasted for fifteen minutes, repeating the same points over and over.

Qin Sheng rubbed her ears, regretting not having refused the principal's request earlier.

Writing the speech, attending the training, and then going on stage would at least take forty minutes in total.
