The Sudden Rain

Welcoming the two to sit down, Doctor Wang placed three teacups on his table as a teapot was placed next to it. Being taught by his parents about some noble etiquette, Jiang Feng stood up and grabbed the teapot before pouring out tea for his mother and Doctor Wang, leaving himself for last.

"I apologize for not having good tea here since I only drink chrysanthemum in the hospital." Doctor Wang said.

"It's nothing. It was us that came unnoticed after all. Let me introduce you Doctor Wang, this is my son, Jiang Feng."

"Nice to meet you, Doctor Wang. Thank you for taking care of my grandma."

Despite being called out of nowhere, Jiang Feng immediately came up with a script in his mind as he bowed lightly towards Doctor Wang. Seeing this, Doctor Wang laughed lightly as he waved his hands.

"No need to thank me, I'm just doing my job as a doctor after all. So, may I know what brings you two here?" Doctor Wang inquired.

Turning to look at his mother, who nodded at him, Jiang Feng took a deep breath before he stated their purposes.

"We actually came here to do a checkup for me."

"Hmm? Has something happened to you?"

"Just yesterday, I fainted in a restaurant. Normally, this wouldn't be much of a problem since a paramedic already treated me, but my parents were concerned that this may be related to how I have been troubled by a nightmare for a year by now."

"A nightmare, you say? Have you tried talking to a therapist?" Doctor Wang suggested.

"I plan to, but we're here to see if I have any health problems in case the lack of quality sleep really was the cause of me fainting yesterday."

'Even though I'm sure it has a bigger relation to that weird place and coffin' Jiang Feng thought.

"I see. Well, let's head down to the examination room for you check up. There should be one empty room available so we can use that."

"Thanks a lot, Doctor Wang." Jiang Feng's mother said.

"Okay, that's enough. You can sit back down on the chair now, Jiang Feng."

Turning away from Jiang Feng who was lying down on the examination table, Doctor Wang sat back down at the desk as he typed down all the test results he gotten from Jiang Feng into the computer.

Once he was done with that, Doctor Wang turned to look at the mother and son pair in front of the table as he gave them Jiang Feng's checkup results.

"From what I can see, there's nothing wrong with your son's health condition, Miss Jiang. Other than the fact that he seems to be having a slight lack of sleep, he is healthier than most other teenagers of his age." Doctor Wang said.

"That's good to hear, but why is it that he'll still faint even so?" Jiang Feng's mother questioned.

"To be honest with you, I am not sure as well. There isn't any diseases or illness found in him, and he is at his peak health right now, so there shouldn't be any reason for him to faint. Perhaps it is a must for you guys to visit a therapist." Doctor Wang suggested.

"..I understand. Thank you for your time, Doctor Wang. We'll be taking our leave now." Jiang Feng said as he stood up from his seat.

Arriving back home as soon as they left the hospital, Jiang Feng wanted to head up to his room to get ready for his 'exploration' with his friends afterwards, but just right before he stepped onto the stairs, his mother called him.

"Are you about to leave already, Feng?"

"Not yet, mom. I'll leave after lunch. Is there something you need from me?" Jiang Feng asked.

"Since there's no problem with your health and Doctor Wang also suggested us to meet with a therapist, I wanted to bring you out to meet with one next weekend. You should be free during those days, right?" Jiang Feng's mother said.

Lifting his head up to think about his schedule, Jiang Feng ultimately shook his head at his mother's question.

"Then, I'll book for one therapist next Saturday. I'll tell you the time once I managed to book one." Jiang Feng's mother said.

"Okay."

Turning around after they were done talking, Jiang Feng headed up to his room as he started cooping himself inside his room and played games until lunch was ready.

Knock*~ Knock*~

"Young Master Jiang Feng, would you like to have lunch now?"

Hearing Aunt Lee's voice outside of his door, Jiang Feng turned off his game as he got off his bed and headed towards the door.

"What are we having for today?" Jiang Feng asked.

"Pork noodles and some fried dumplings." Aunt Lee replied as she followed behind Jiang Feng after he came out from his room.

"Sounds delicious." Jiang Feng remarked.

After reaching the dining room, Aunt Lee split up with Jiang Feng as she headed towards the kitchen to bring his meal while Jiang Feng proceeded to sit at where he usually does. Just as he was about to take out his phone to kill sometime before his lunch was served, a loud thunder sound startled him.

Turning to look at the window, Jiang Feng saw that the sky outside had already turned dark with raindrops falling towards the ground, creating a rather unpleasant melody once paired with the repeatedly thundering clouds.

Ding*

Taking out his phone after hearing the notification bell, Jiang Feng realized it was his group of friends that sent a message.

Lao Mu: "Guys, it's raining."

Tang Hu Lu: "Thanks for stating the obvious."

Lao Mu: "Stop with your sarcasm, @Tang Hu Lu. Do we still continue with today's exploration?"

The World's Sun: "It's fine, we can postpone it for half an hour or so."

Jiang Feng: "I'll still wait at the cave for you guys."

The World's Sun: "Eh? What are you going to do there alone?"

Jiang Feng: "Guess I'll just play with my phone until you guys come, it's no different staying at home anyways."

Tang Hu Lu: "You should bring some snacks along with you then. Who knows, @The World's Sun might just take another half an hour to actually get everything readied."

The World's Sun: "…can you all just have some trust in me for once?"

Lao Mu: "No."
