The suspension was finally out of the way and it was Monday. Back to school everyone. I met Olive at my locker, scrolling through her phone as usual.
"You're sure of what to do?", Olive said to me.
"Don't worry about it", I replied, closing my locker. I left her and went to the opposite direction.
"Where are you headed?" Olive asked looking puzzled.
"The restroom, obviously. I'd be right back", I said hurrying off.
As I was about to enter, I heard Jane saying something to her friends so I decided to eavesdrop from the door.
"Tiffany!?, she is only good for helping out with my homework. I don't know what's into her lately. She's so sluggish with my homeworksand give me the dumbest reason for it. What a cheeky brat. She is a loser and if she ain't good with that, oh my my my, she had better keep off my sight", Jane said, fiddling her hair.
"What if she doesn't do your homework anymore?, there will be no one else to prey", one of her minions remarked.
"Oh, come on, what makes you think so? We still got Olive, there is always a desperate look on her face to regain her spot in the press club. Just put up some convincing words and we've got a slave", she replies giggling and added.
"Let's go get my homework girls".
As they all headed towards the door, I scampered off. Now was my chance. I quickly went to my locker and viewed Tiffany's. She was by her locker, arranging her school books.
Jane marched up to her and requested for her homework. The timid look on Tiffany's face could only mean one thing; she hasn't done the homework yet. Jane was about to slap her but I quickly stepped in.
"She's no slave of yours, let her be", I said to her. She flinged her hands from my hold and retorted.
"Oh, look. The mouse has something to say. If you were so good at threats, Olive wouldn't have been kicked out of the club so easily despite all her hardwork".
"She is better of that way than being in the club and getting oppressed by you and your likes everyday".
"Smart talk, if only that could vindicate you from being a bloody snitch. Now, get off my way, I am talking to a friend, right Tiffy?".
"I see. Calling a 'friend' a loser who doesn't know her place?".
"What do you mean?".
"Stop with the pretense. I hate hypocrites the most. I have a recording of your 'eloquent' speech and bet me, if you don't leave her the hell alone, I would post the recording in the school's page and just imagine your beat-up future dissipate into thin air. Do you dare? Of course, you don't. You're way too narcissistic to".
My threat worked after all. She rolled her eyes and went away with her minions. I turned to Tiffany and said,
"You're free... temporarily".
"Do you think she would stop bothering me again?".
"She will as long as she is still your club president".
"Bad enough".
"Which is why I need you to do me a favour".
"What favour?".
"Meet me at the table during lunch and you will find out. I'm off to class".
