1 - Reborn

Jian lay on the hospital bed wearily, she looked outisde the window dazely.

There was a nurse beside her sitting down and was very quiet as if afraid to break the tranquility of the atmosphere.

The nurse looked at the patient on the hospital bed with pity, ever since this beautiful girl was hospitalized no one even came to visit, her parents has died but aren't there firends? How come no one came, she's so pitiful.

Jian blinked her eyes and she turned her attention to the nurse, and timely she saw the pity in her(nurse) eyes. Jian smiled deseprecatingly, the nurse avoided eye contact and was embarrassed, Jian just smiled gently and opened her mouth and spoke.

"Can you lend me a phone?"

The nurse readily nodded and without hesitation she took out her phone and gave it to the girl. Jian looked at the phone and for no reason she felt her nose sour, she blinked her eyes frequently to stop the tears that's threatening to come out, she calmed her breathe, but it was hard to breathe.

Jian knew this might be her last day, the day she suffered miscarriage, she was rushed to the hospital by some passer by, and there at the hospital she found out she has lung cancer, it reached the stage where it is incurable.

Jian clenched the phone, Zach's face emerged in her mind, she smiled gently, if only...

The nurse stared at the patient in a daze, she's obviously so beautiful how come her fate is so pitiful, one really can't fight their own destiny.

Jian dialed a phone number that's stuck in her head, the phone rang

A minute later the phone is still ringing, two minutes, three minutes the mechanical female voice sounded, Jian lost her smile, she dialed the number again the same thing happened.

Jian's heart hurts, she couldn't even breathe properly, all that's inside her mind is 'please answer the phone just once'

Jian dialed the phone number again, after half a minute as if the other side didn't bother to pretend anymore, hanged up the phone call,

Jian heald the phone to her heart, as she closed her eyes, she didn't bother to catch her breathe anymore, she took her one last breathe and a tear fell down her closed eyes.

The heart monitor showed a flatline and then it beeped loudly and the beep became faster every few seconds, the nurse pressed the red button and took the phone out of the patients hand, she wiped the tears off her(jian's) face.

What a pity

Jian felt a headache she supported her body from the soft bed and wanted to sat up.

Jian : "..??" Soft bed?

Jian sat up abruptly scaring the maid who was arranging the makeup kit on the makeup desk.

Eli : "miss! You're awake! Get up quickly and take a bath, today is the first day of school you can't be late"

Jian nose felt sour, her eyes were pale red, she pursed her lips, she went down quickly off the bed and hugged the maid, making Eli confused

Eli : "young miss? What's- hey, why are you crying?"

Jian hugged Eli she sobbed for a while then she broke the hug, the hug just now was real it means she's not dreaming! She seem to be reborn, it seems the god pitied her pitiful life she gave her a chance to rebirth!

Jian now really wanted to cry again, right! Parents!

Jian "Eli! where's mom and dad?"

Eli was still confused as to why the young miss cried but she subconsciously answered the question "they are at the living room"

With a flash Jian ran to the door and went out side the room, leaving Eli inside the bedroom, Eli scratched her head, she really can't understand rich people's brain circuit, she sighed and continued her work, she also made the bed for the young miss in the passing.

Jian stood on the stair case, in her field of vision she could see her father sitting on the living room single sofa wearing a old fashioned silver rimmed glasses reading a newspaper, Jian remembered a scene form before.

8 years old Jian : "daddy! How come you read this yellow papers? We have computers!"

Dad : "computers are bad for the eyes, you know"

Jian : "oh? Then why do you use computers at the study?"

Dad : "...."

Mom : "Hahaha okay okay stop asking your dad, come and eat the food is ready!"

Unknowingly her tears fell down, she couldn't help it, just because of her foolish decision she implicated the family who doted and loved her truly.

A woman who resembled Jian walked out of the kitchen wearing an aprona nd had a spatula in hand, she glanced at Jian's direction, the woman's eyes lit up

"An-an why haven't you dressed up yet? Come eat first then go back and get dressed!" Mom Solace after saying that, she walked up to Dad Solace and slapped his backed and yelled something, Dad Solace although angry but he didn't dare to respond back, he was very obedient in front of Mom Solace.

Jian smiled as she stared at her lovely parents, with sigh she shook off all her depression, those are the past she have to live the present and not the past, in this life all i have in my heart and eyes is my family and people who truly are sincere to me. As for Zach,

I like you but if we're also not meant to be in this second lifetime, then i won't force it.

After a delightful breakfast with her parents, even though Jian wanted to stay longer with her parents she had to go to school, her parents also had their own places to go.

A young man sat on a broken bed, seemingly in a daze, his facial features are handsome and gave off a youthful yet cold aura.

The young man held his chest, he looked up at the window beside him it seems I'm Reborn.
